I'm online, just not frequently active around this thread 24/7.

I have other things to do in my life anyway. Like read some books, play video games I haven't done much with yet, help keep the house and property in good shape (yard work in particular) and, y'know, actually find a job sooner or later. The like.

I still crave for news and footage of BotW 2 and Pikmin 4 though

I think Little Mac can talk. Would anyone honestly care if Little Mac broke his vow of silence?

I feel like I've spent way too much posting here these past few months so I've definitely been making an effort to cut back a bit.

Can't help but notice a lot of Fire emblem on here lol

Yeah I like the idea of having Andy and Takamaru as solo units. That's works pretty well.

As for the other companies X zone tends to have I picture some new additions like this

Pair units:

Joker and one of the female phantom thieves (it would be Kasumi but I'm more into Makoto)

Kite returning from previous titles but his partner is Megaman.EXE because the both of them are cyber space heroes

Replace Kiryu and Majima with Ichiban and one of his friends from Yakuza 7. I can imagine Ichiban getting all psyched up about going on a multiverse adventure just like in one of his japanese anime.

Solo units:

Both x zone games have 4 Street fighter reps while Ryu, Ken and Chun li are shared between the games the fourth one was swapped so continue that and bring in a character who's relevant to the SF5/3 era, like ibuki.

Vyse from Skies of Arcadia, once he meets Reiji they reference how he worked with the Valkiria chronicles 3 party since Reiji knows them.

Sakura from the new Sakura wars, remove Erica and Gemini and keep Ogami and OG Sakura.

Megaman zero, because he's cool.

Here all the references with the New Horizons Spirit Event:

Orville & Wilbur - The Falco puppet fighter duo represent them, as they're both avian pilots. Pilotwings being the main stage for the battle references their respective occupations as receptionist and pilot for Dodo Airlines in New Horizons. Lastly, the Cuccos represent how real-life dodos are known for their poor flying, something that's shared with Cuccos in the Zelda series.

C.J. - The Isabelle puppet fighter represents him in this battle, as C.J. is a fisherman who uses a fishing rod much like Isabelle. The spirit battle as a whole is themed around the varied aquatic life featured in the Animal Crossing series, with the Inking puppet fighters representing squids, Goldeen who represents goldfishes, the Unira item which represents puffer fishes, and Starfy who represents sea stars.

Flick - The Yoshi puppet fighter accurately represents him, as both characters are reptillian. During the battle, the only items that spawns are Beehives & Beetles which refer to Flick's occupation as a bug enthusiast.

Daisy Mae - The Villager puppet fighter represents her, while the Peach puppet fighter references Joan who is her grandmother. In New Horizons, Daisy Mae sells turnips and the characters who are fought in this battle happen to use the vegetable to attack.

This are more listing out potential options rather than a full roster tbh.

I wish they’d bring back characters like Klonoa and Dig Dug.
Klonoa would be neat, he joins the part in the same chapter as the Phantom thieves and they do Morgana's "I'm not a cat!" Bit with him.

Made a decent amount of progress with Persona 4 today. I beat the boss of the fourth dungeon, who I was struggling with, maxed out the Expression social stat (and I'm at rank four out of five for the others, I think), and I've maxed out Chie's social link and I'm nearly maxed out for Yosuke's, Dojima's, and Nanako's social links.

I'm enjoying the game more now that I have a wider variety of party members. I'm a little annoyed that I'm locked out of certain social links (particularly the fox's, since that is one of the few NPC links to have an actual in-game benefit) since I can't access the school, but that shouldn't be an issue for much longer since I'm near the end of August in the game.

That won't oversaturate the market at all.
Maybe if you just look at them as "Marvel movies," but in reality they're all different kinds of movies: a spy movie, a team/cosmic movie, a kung fu/action/spy movie (I think?), a more traditional superhero movie, and what might be a psychological trippy horror movie.

The idea of oversaturation of these movies is ridiculous to me when each individual property is a different genre in most cases.

That maybe but since after the first Guardians they've been resorting to the same formula and vibe notably its humor (Before Guardians its humor wasn't used as much) that's gotten old. Every MCU movie pretty much feels the same at this point knowing how its going to be. That's my main gripe.

Pretty much the McDonalds of cinema. Its like having the same fast food or cereal every day.

"Look how much I hate this thing. Doesn't this thing suck?"

We get it, you don't like the Marvel movies. You're perfectly within your right to feel that way, but we don't have to hear about it every single time the topic comes up. I've had enough, I'm so sick of it.

I'm just saying if for every of their movies had an different tone, vibe or formula I'd be enjoying them more.

But I'll stop now sorry.

Agreed. Just because it works in one property doesn't mean it should be in all of them. It got old fast.

They even injected a bit of it into star wars here and there... um, no it doesn't fit.

I suddenly had an idea for an post-credits for the animated Super Mario Bros. movie.

-

*End credits of Mario movie*

*Arwing lands as Mario stares in shock*

Fox McCloud- "Its a big universe, and what happened here is just the start. Mario, I'm here to talk to you about the Super Smash Brothers tournament."

-

Could you guys only imagine the reactions?

I'm sorry I snapped, but having a similar sense of humour and tone doesn't make them the same genre, it just makes them cohesive. It's like an art style, if one of the Marvel properties had a completely different tone then it would feel weird and forced when they came together for team ups.

Which is also what I noticed with lately with the DCEU (Justice League especially failed with this with such an inconsistent tone. It didn't know whether to be dark and gritty or MCU). Shazam! is the only one that did its humor in an different way which is why I loved it.

No prob and you're right I gotta stop bringing this up when this subject pops up. Anyways that's just me I guess. Guardians 3 and Doctor Strange 2 are the only two I'm really looking forward to at this point.

Premise for a new Punch-Out!! game for the Switch. 20 years has past since Mac took the belt and retired from boxing and now he’s returned to the boxing world to train a newcomer to the ring...

Sylvia Louis, Doc Louis’s daughter.

Basically a Creed to the original Punch-Out!!’s Rocky. And you’d face a whole new lineup of female opponents before you face the current champion, Sandman’s daughter.

Would you be interested and/or buy it? Does the premise sound too fanfic-y? How quickly would Twitter/Tumblr tear it apart?

On the topic of Shazam: I really enjoyed the movie, but I don't think it fits in well with the rest of the DC movies. Like the Superman thing at the end was fun, but it felt like a parody more than a sequel (I know it's not a sequel). I try to imagine what it would be like if Shazam interacted with Batfleck and I can only imagine that it would be awkward and weird.

Probably why I enjoyed it for what it was.

I mean they weren’t really going anywhere with their whole cinematic universe anyways, might as well just have this and subsequent movies be their own thing at this point.

It's an interesting idea, but I think I would like it more if he was training one of the villains' daughters. It would feel too close to Creed if it was Doc's daughter in my opinion.

I like the idea of the main character being Glass Joe's daughter, then it could play into the plot that if she wins it's a redemption for their family, after her father was essentially a joke.

I like it. In fact, I think I came up with it a few months ago and posted it here.

Though, if you really wanna creed it, it would be Mike Tyson’s/Mr. Dream’s/Mr. Sandman’s kid.

Hopefully the language barrier won’t be a problem in that scenario.
In my imagination she moves to the US specifically to find Little Mac because she spent her childhood watching the world ridicule her father for being scrawny and weak and Mac, being the other underdog of the league, makes the perfect trainer in her eyes. So between moving to the US and finding Mac, she would have been working on learning the language, so she would still have a French accent and mannerisms, but she would have at least a moderate grasp on English.

Sorry, I totally just took your idea and made it something completely different haha

You’re not sorry. I can tell./s

Maybe both ideas could happen, one in a sequel of the other or maybe a separate campaign?

Didn't stop you ****talking it for months before its premiere.
And I confess I was wrong about it, something I wish I could take back. Glad I gave it a chance.

Pretty much treat it as its own standalone film.

Quick question for anyone who might be able to help: Does anyone here know a fix for the Switch error code 2002-4363? My nephew's Switch won't boot and is throwing that out anytime he tries to boot it.
