I thought the issue with K. Rool WAS the armor and how it could flat out backfire ok the user.

Also, Mac sucked regardless lol.

I'm pretty sure K. Rool was laughably bad long before he got those few nerfs. People overhyped him way too much when he was first announced, and I had a feeling he would end up being the exact opposite of how people were picturing him in their heads. Ultimate finally released, and none of the top players would even touch him. That was before the first balance patch.

Early Patchs really suck, because peoples can't wait and learn the matchup before complaining, which then cause the wrong characters to get targeted with nerfs.

The only pick I would despise to see getting in Smash is Bubsy.

Honest question here: ignoring the people who buy all the DLC to get the full content of a game... why would someone pay 6€ just to add a failure of a character in their roster? Is there someone out there in this world who thinks “Hey, I would prefer to get Bubsy the Bobcat over Doomguy, Jill Valentine or freaking Dante in a non-ironic way”.

But... he did got buffed. It's just nerfs, engine and other characters getting better hurt his tournament viability.

Personally, I couldn't care less about competitive tier lists, so I'm just happy he feels more fun to play in this game.

You are missing what I am saying. He was buffed, but what I meant was I thought he would be better in Ultimate than in Smash 4.

The usual suggestions for a new Kirby character are Waddle Dee or Marx, but I'd really like to see Rick with all the other animal friends.

Steve would be cool to represent the sandbox genre, and the stage/moveset potential with him is huge if done properly.

Can’t say much about Chief since I never played Halo (I wish I could doh). However, I heard a bit of the Halo OST and he would likely bring wonderful tunes for the fights.

Oh absolutely, I'm still confused as to why people went "WOAH I'VE NEVER SEEN A HEAVY WITH THIS MUCH MOBILITY" when Bowser exists. And again, Noob crusher. Nintendo's core audience lacked fundamentals and complained about it, which Nintendo deemed more important than actual balance. Luckily the latest patch fixed up some low tier characters

I remember playing Smash with some old friends I knew, and they all thought King K. Rool was overpowered and broken, and I told them that they were wrong.

Honestly, I don’t care about a character being considered low tier.

If videos like this one have taught me something, is that any character can be great on the right hands:

Consider that some people doesn’t see Wright as a top tier character, yet this player was able to beat a hacker who used a Galactus team with him.

Huh, here's a cool detail I noticed: What appears to be his Up Smash animation appears to have a lightning strike in the first one, but nothing in the 4th pic. Perhaps some of his spells change the elemental properties of the sword?

To play devil's advocate, it is important to ensure that everyone is having fun, even those who lack any skill. Balancing solely around the best players may be the ideal, but it could alienate the larger, more casual playerbase.

So I just came back inside after doing some yard work, and why I was doing that work I decided to listen to the Banjo-Kazooie soundtrack, including Gruntilda’s Lair, Clankers Cavern, Gobi Desert, and other songs.

It took me back to my childhood, to when I played that game so ****ing much, and then I realized how happy it makes me that Banjo-Kazooie is actually in Smash.

Bruh. The remixes if Grant Kirkhope does the rest of the OST? It’s all ogre for me.
