I've been practicing using Hero for that new Smash tournament for the memes and I've been running into that problem.

That's correct.
Shields are solid in Ultimate, but rolling got significant nerfs between 4 and Ult. Rolling is way less safe now; frame data and staleness got worse.

Ok, so another awful thing is happening at my Islands alongside the haze storm and the fire in my island.

I don't want to make people here seriously scared... But the corona virus has hit the Islands again. This time due to an italian doctor in Tenerife.

Unless my parents go nuts and make me go out, I Will try to stay inside home all the time until It gets vanished again.

Hero in particular is a character who can struggle with shielding opponents. He doesn't have a lot of fast moves to pressure or poke shields with, and his grab game is kind of poor. Most of his specials don't do a whole lot of damage against shields either, and those few that do (like Hatchet Man) are pretty easy to avoid.

Shielding was also nerfed going into Ultimate, though. I believe shieldstun was increased making punishing out of shield much harder, and all shield grabs take 4 frames long. Decreased landing lag across the board also was a stealth nerf to shield.

That said, shielding is still a very strong tactic if you have a good OoS game.

If you're referring to the coronavirus. You should be more concerned about the common flu.

This fearmongering at its finest. Swear people are treating it like its the next black plague as they do with every new virus such as when the swine flu and zika virus happened. Especially when the common flu has killed more people then the corona did.

There's never gonna be another black plague since we now have better understanding of viruses and modern medicine something the 14th century didn't have.

I'm only sticking with Hero until I can master Ryu's combos. My brain automatically continues to go with non-true Shoryu even though I can do true Shoryu fine. I also have a lot of issues with Kara cancelling for super slide tatsu, it's damn near impossible for me.

I've been continuing some attempts at new time trial records in Mario Kart 7 and came to the thought of something. As much as the amount of characters playable is notably small compared to MK8 & MKWii, I do appreciate how diverse the roster selection is. No filler baby characters or alternate variants of Mario & Peach in sight (...although, this game marks the debut of Metal Mario into Mario Kart, but whatever).

For the record, while we still don't know much about it the fatality rate of the Corona Virus is thought to be around 2%. The fatality rate for the common flu is closer to 0.1%.

2% isn't going to cause the black plague or the apocalypse, but it is much worse then the flu. The only reason more people have died from the flu is because it's currently more common.

I don't think having a little caution is unwarranted, either until it starts to die down or until a vaccine is developed. It's can be good to remind people not to panic, but it's insensitive to act like the corona virus isn't a problem at all. The goal of containing these diseases is so that they do die down.
