Man, a new Paper Mario would be cool. I don't believe the rumors at all, but still, it'd be so cool. It's been on hiatus since 2007, too, so it'd be a long time coming.

At least give us a remaster of Thousand-Year Door if Nintendo isn't interested in making a brand new game...

Having watched Joker again tonight. It makes me think the way they should approach the DC Dark Universe is focus on particular DC villains notably more of Batman's Rogue Gallery such as Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy and such.

An Killer Croc movie would definitely work regarding his life how he was viewed as a freak due to his rare skin disorder.

My idea is have them set in the same universe but they don't connect being treated as their own individual films.

TBH after seeing what they did to Superstar Saga's and BiS' NPCs, the cynical part of me would be terrified of what they'd do to TTYD in a post-Sticker Star world. Especially if Kensuke Tanabe is involved in any way, shape, or form: Not to sound mean, but most of what a lot of us Paper Mario fans hate about modern Paper Mario is pretty darn nearly all his fault (Miyamoto shares some of the blame too, but Tanabe was the biggest driving force behind the changes), and TBH whether or not he's involved with any future projects will be what determines if I have any hope or not. There's almost assuredly gonna be a new PM project at some point, but the question is what shape will it take? Will they humble themselves, admit they were wrong to be obstinate with Sticker Star's changes and finally make the game people have waited well over a decade now for, or will they stubbornly continue on with the weird Toad fixation and poorly implemented paper-pun mechanics? Only time will tell.

The very notion makes me simultaneously roll my eyes and shake with (very slight) rage. They’re just picking up the ball on their cinematic universe and they want to take away resources from that to do Bat-Pandering stand-alone films. Guys, seriously. Marvel has made franchises out of friggin Ant-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Black Panther. You don’t have to devote so many resources to Gotham City! It’s done and tired. We don’t need a movie for every Batman antagonist, and villains in general should not be film protagonists lest you teach a whole generation that murder and genocide is okay if society ****ed you over enough.

Nothing substantial or even half legit sounding. From what I've gathered, it's all word of mouth stuff: People are only talking about it because people like Gamexplain and Arlo were talking about it last month.

Plus, we're in that phase of Direct thirst that "leakers" are starting to hype the next General up as the best, most earth shattering Nintendo event ever that's gonna announce BotW2, Paper Mario, Metroid, Mario Kart, the Switch Pro, and everything people could ever dream of!

And then we get stuff like, I dunno, "Yoshi's Wild World of Yarn Ball Paper Craft Fun Tax-Evasion Time" or something like that and people get mad at Nintendo, lol.

Or we could not. Snake has a right to her opinion and everyone has a right to agree or disagree. Leave it as that.

Still want an Vandal Savage movie given his origins. Enough to warrant an entire movie let alone TV series.

Wally is more effective specifically for me because he reminds me of myself. I also like shy characters.

Hop I can empathize with because of the inferiority complex and feeling the need to arbitrarily "prove himself" to others because he's constantly comparing himself to others and doubting his sense of utility and accomplishments. I totally get why people like him and I've warmed up to him now, but Wally was Gen 3 and so it was the first rival to ever hit close to home and boy did he hit hard.

Honestly, I feel like Galar's rivals would've generally been more widely appreciated if Hop just eased up on the encounters a little to allow room for Bede and Marnie to get more time.

Oh, and if we're counting anime, Gou from what little I've seen is shaping up to be a fav of mine. But tbf I like a lot of Ash's friends like Brock, Misty, Dawn, May, the entirety of X and Y's cast, and now Gou.

Gimme some critique on this badboy, folks.

To ATLUS, the enslaved benefactor, and to Sony, the great sinner of selfishness

For years you have kept a beloved franchise under lock and key, forcing the masses to choose your product to help satiate your own greed and lust for money. You keep the more profitable of the twins chained up in the depths of the Station of Play while letting it's lesser loved sister roam free. The twins must not be kept apart any longer. Thus, we have decided to take your heart, and break the shackles of captivity with your own hands.

I won’t take it any further then. One thing I’m learning is when to shut up.
To me, its just your logic makes no ****ing sense.

Joker came out and, I'm not seeing the waves of people throwing violence in the streets over wanting to tear down society. The most I've seen is "hurr durr we live in a society" memes.

People have every right to like villains, doesn't mean its going to inspire people to be the next Hitler like you think it will.

What do you all think of this? For the record, it's not like Nintendo hasn't shown any support competitve-wise. They have Nintendo Versus, sponsered a couple of Smash tournaments like with Genesis 7 & Kongo Saga, and also made their own invitational tourneys with Smash as well as Splatoon 2 & ARMS.

I want a Jaime Reyes Blue beetle movie where he takes his alien super suit and acts like a Kaman rider when he fights. Because Jaime is Latino and most Latinos are complete weebs it's perfect.

Yeah. Probably would have been best to leave that part out. I still think it’s a danger of these kinds of films, and I’ve covered many other reasons I don’t like the idea of villain movies in the past, but it’s not my primary concern.

What my main problem is is all the Bat-Pandering. Batman is my least favorite part of the DCU. And I hate that him and his supporting cast (to the point where we’re DC is in the early phases of Nightwing, Batgirl, DCEU Joker, Harley Quinn, Harley Quinn & The Joker, and Gotham City Sirens movies on top of this whole “dark universe” idea) get so much spotlight when there are so many other more interesting corners of the DC universe to delve in to. Not to mention the fact that they can never seam to get these movies right anyway. That’s the part that really has me frustrated.

Batman is DC's most profitable franchise. By this logic, you should be mad that Nintendo makes so many Mario games and that Marvel makes so much Spider-Man content.

You can not like it, but literally every multimedia company does this.

Why are Yoshi games the only ones that dampen hype for people? That's so unfair :yoshi:
Some Nintendo fans can be finicky and weird. Yoshi games are usually at the very least decent, so the apathy they get is definitely strange to me.

Might just be fueled by the crowd that thinks Nintendo needs a BotW-type release every other month.
