Just not gonna buy the pass TBH. Not worth it for me.

If you're not familiar with the games in question, then it's easy enough to look into most of them. Dragon Quest XI has a free 8-10 hour demo on the Switch eShop, Fatal Fury/King of Fighters games are pretty cheap on the Switch (about $9 if they aren't on sale, I think), and Youtube provides a ridiculous amount of gameplay videos, reviews, etc.

I understand that it might be tough to learn about Joker if you don't have a PS3 or PS4, and for Banjo, you'd need a Nintendo 64, Xbox 360, or Xbox One, but the other three have highly-regarded games on the Switch - assuming you own a Switch, you could at least give them a shot.

I do own a Switch, but at this point it's not worth it to me to give games a shot. I can barely afford expensive cards for my decks as-is, I seriously cannot fathom spending $100 of dollars of games I more likely than not will drop after a few minutes.

Besides, outside of a few games, not really big into Video Games. Trading Card Games are where it's at baby!

Literally already said this, but that was recorded in November.

They likely did this to get us hyped up for the Nintendo Direct, which coincidentally, is likely gonna come to us right before or after Byleth gets released at the end of this month, wherein they'll reveal the first character of the pass just as the first one is coming to a close.

Either they reveal them here or we may be looking at E3?

Like I said, Dragon Quest 11 has a free demo, and Terry's games are about $9 each. (I'd recommend King of Fighters '98 if I had to pick one) That's not hundreds of dollars.

At the very least, you could look up Youtube videos for the games to get an idea of what they're like.

Started out not knowing who he was or what the **** a Persona 5 was, then I checked out an entire playthrough of the game accidentally (I only wanted to watch a small bit...but then I was invested as ****), then played him in Smash and loved him, then played P5 and watched the anime right after beating the game and loved him even more. Now awaiting P5R and P5S while currently watching the P4 anime...yes...also he’s my main now alongside Pittoo (Pit is no longer a main...as he has ascended that ****...he’s now stronger and better than such a simple name like that)

I know lots of people are gonna be bitter about Byleth but this really is the most excited I've been since Joker.
Hero and Terry I didn't care about, and Banjo was only exciting on principle of being Banjo, since I haven't played his games.

6/10 I like persona, not a fan of Joker. I would have preferred P4 or P3's Mcs. Getting my ass whooped by his meta ass probably took a point or two off tbh

7/10 I have no personal attachment to this character, or dragonquest tbh. But I can understand the significance behind his inclusion, and his playstyle is pretty unique.

7/10 I liked Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie back in the day, but i've never really wanted banjo in smash. He's a pretty cool legacy character but i was never a massive fan of him even back when I played the games.

11/10 Above perfection. Finally a character that I liked back when I was a kid, and still like now from multiple franchises that I like, with amazing gamplay to boot. This is the kind of DLC that I've been asking for since Smash 4 Bayo. The pass was worth it just for Terry

Byleth: 5/10 It was a safe pick, and even though I like three houses Byleth was definitely lower in priority than Lord Dimitri in my eyes. Glad that he got in over Edelgard, though so that's a win in my book. He doesn't look particularly fun to play from what we've seen but that may change before release.
