Smash Ultimate Weeklies started up again and I got 5th. My main is but I have as secondaries for his bad MUs (which are mainly faster, bigger disjointed sword characters). I want to get my Wolf better. He's not nearly as good as my YL but he has certain tools YL lacks and is better in some MUs.

I already didn't care for this movie but I honestly feel this is kind of insulting, a common criticism for the MCU is that they're all rather samey and they'd rather enforce samey instead of letting one stand out

Damn, this is looking like a mess.

The first Doctor Strange wasn't really that great and easily among my least favorite films in the Infinity Saga. The promise of horror actually had me somewhat interested in the sequel and to see them try to downplay it through their statements now is incredibly disheartening, so I'll most likely end up giving this movie a pass unless something from the trailers really grabs my attention.

He's still involved as an executive producer and it's not like Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor Ragnarok or the first 3/4 of Black Panther don't exist.

That's one of the reasons why I'm burned out by their movies due to having the same formula (Notably its humor).

Doctor Strange stood out given how different it was with mystic arts and magic and why it was one of the only two I'm looking forward to (Guardians 3 being the other. Sheer bias plays a part).

I don't think the series needs to die but what they should do is change their formula although at the same time I feel they should at least take a break IMO at least.

Seeing my first movie this year tomorrow Underwater.

Whether good or bad. Too much of a sucker for killer creature flicks like that. Definitely won't top classics like Leviathan, Deep Star Six and The Abyss though.

Despite the production issues and the apparent backpedaling on the horror premise, I still sincerely hope the end-product is a quality film that engrosses itself in enough weird, downright freaky s*** to really stand out from other marvel flicks. This was the ONE upcoming MCU title I was looking forward to the most, and the concept of a Doctor Strange movie that cuts loose and goes bats*** with cosmic horror is too good to pass up completely.

I really don’t know how to approach the mcu anymore. The last two films really turned me away and I don’t want to purchase Mouse Additional Money in Our Wallets to have to keep up with the goings on of the larger universe. But the upcoming films are using some of my few favorite marvel concepts and characters so.... I really don’t know what to do.
