So in these final hours I have to ask, what was Nintendo's best and worst E3?

My favorites would either be 2010 or 2017. The 2015 Direct was without a doubt the worst.

I'd say 2017 was the best. They were revealing hype stuff left and right, and just about every popular franchise got something (Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Yoshi, Kirby, Pokemon, FE, Xenoblade, Splatoon)

Shenmue 3's got some issues with the PC version being locked to the Epic Games store, which might be illegal since they were promised it on Steam, which breaks the crowdfunding contract or something of the sort.

2017 had a really good balance of franchises and the Odyssey trailer was incredible

2008 was abysmal

The past two years have been incredible for me, I'll probably say 2017 overall since it had all the excitement of a new console around it, plus Metroid's revival, while 2018 was pretty lackluster outside of Smash. Ultimate's reveal was enough to carry 2018 though, and it had the biggest moment of any E3 for me with Ridley's reveal, so it's still a solid 2nd.

2009 and 2013 were also really really good, so shoutouts to them. 2008 and 2015 were by far the worst, 2008 in particular was just a special kind of bad.
