I don’t want to bother with Smash Kart until Pauline and K.Rool get in a Mario Kart game that isn’t goddam Tour.

So one year later, how do we feel about Super Smash Bros. Ultimate?

BOTW is around 100 hours
Mario Odyssey is around 200 hours
Pokémon Sword is around 170 hours
Smash Ultimate is 650 hours

It gave me Roar, it gave me Banjo, it gave me Sans (in a costume but that’s good enough).

I quite enjoy it.

It is also worth to note that as a Nintendo-themed channel they would likely want to share feedback to first and second party characters to help them gain some attention inside the community.

Because honestly, I know way too many people who discredit many kinds of supports for specific female characters just because of unjustified bias and prejudgment (such as with Pauline) or because of a lack of knowledge.

But even then, I don’t think they wanted to make this list as some sort of definitive list that should destroy anything else. Just something they wanted to do for fun.

They each said one sentence that was pretty much, this character can do this, that would be cool in smash.
Lilith is also one of the most reoccurring characters in the series and a pretty notable character in gaming imo.

Also they had plenty of third parties on there. Hell beyond good and evil, and lightning from final fantasy were on there. Both picks we know would never happen

I think people are looking too much into it as some sort of clue for DLC, instead of a simple list probably made just to comment on a curious topic.

I'm sometimes guilty of forgetting my wallet in my work jeans when I change clothes.

Maybe but at the very least I do think it’s hinting towards a female rep. They don’t do this type of content.

Hell people said they said thing when they commissioned their artist to make an entire courtroom recreation animation to make an argument for Ridley and Daisy.

Both of who got revealed shortly after for ultimate and were thought to be characters we would never see. They then never went back to these videos and carried on with their usual content. I’m sure you can see that’s a little suspicious, and then here we have a video of a similar idea put up after Jon made a tweet that mimicked the tweet he made leaking the August 8th smash direct.

And at the same time he was calling out insiders.

I’m just saying all these pieces together paint this as a very suspicious picture

I mean
Do you see people talk about Ridley anymore? Or K. Rool, or Ken, or Mega Man, or any character who's ever been reavealed for Smash ever? The people who only have a surface level interest/were only in it for speculation will move on, and the people who wanted them are satisfied and really don't have much else to say. You can't expect the hype cycle for a character to last forever, because eventually you're going to run out of things to talk about.

Mega Man, Ridley and Ken are indeed really cool dudes with really cool moves. Mega Man and Street Fighter have some of the objectively best spirit fights.

Like, we're all hyping Reimu up

I want her but I'm not expecting her, because literally any day he could just come out and say "Nope, Chuck Testa."

I'm not hyping up Reimu, but that's only because Tou-Hou isn't a series I have any attachment to. If she's in, hopefully she's fun to play. But the worst we'll get in terms of complaints is the character being extremely anime. And that's a big IF on whether or not she'll be added.

I mean I’m personally not really fond of the idea, I don’t really see it as necessary or feasible but I guess it would be something interesting to think about. I doubt it’ll be the same as Ultimate’s roster though.

I was just looking through the replies to Geoff's tweet replying to Sabi and there's a reply from Sabi saying "Dorito Pope noticed me" and then a reply to that saying something like "Geoff laughs as he hands you a C&D" which Geoff liked.

So I would say Geoff is absolutely aware of who Sabi is, whether that means there is a Smash reveal or not is still unknown though.

I feel like "Unhype" is just code for "Not Geno/Isaac/insert character this fanbase loves" here, and if you're not one of those, you're instantly a:

I have a feeling people will always do this anyway. I kind of got annoyed at people sandbagging Terry as if this dude doesn't have a rich history and wasn't hype as ****. But ****ing Geno, some character from a singular spin-off is more iconic than Terry ****ing Bogard. Or that Terry's a "shill pick" for SNK Heroines, a game that isn't even referenced in Smash. How in the hell someone could think that is insane to me. Yeah, ok. Sure fam. KOF isn't even my favorite fighting game series, Tekken is.

Heck, even the characters I didn't care for as far as DLC went seemed fine to me.


If ****** want to act up like that again IF we ever get a Tekken character, I'm roasting them constantly. I don't need bratty people trying to taking away my hype.

That's true, but I'm just hearing that he just isn't fun and encourages an annoying playstyle. What prompted me to say this is former big Banjo supporters are saying this on social media, and I almost never see this on other characters.

Unless I'm looking in the wrong place.

I just got done playing a match with Banjo. The people who are enjoying the character aren't constantly posting every day "boy, I sure love playing as Banjo in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate." K. Rool and Banjo are my most played characters (with a pretty significant gap between K. Rool and Banjo). So I think you're just paying attention to the negativity and not everyone who's just having fun with the character.

Gotta say, it was nice to settle on a secondary after playing as mostly just K. Rool for dozens of hours. Ridley is fun but I don't think I would ever get serious with him. Cloud's nerfs are hard to relearn after maining him in Smash 4. Banjo feels just right though. I wasn't even a diehard Banjo supporter until after K. Rool got in, but he's been imagined pretty perfectly by my count. If K. Rool was a Smash 4 character, I would probably be maining Banjo right now, but the new car smell is still there for K. Rool.

So yeah, it's just the hype cycle, people have moved on, and they'll move on from Terry or say how much he sucks when FP5 is out.

The only one who knew about Joker was Geoff according to him and it was decided the week before. He said he talked with Nintendo about doing something but it was finalized last second. He didn’t specify if employees knew it was specifically a smash announcement, but he did say no one else knew it was joker.

Which due to the success of last year, I could see things being less rushed and a lot more planned this time while being kept under lock and key

If the belief of "Female" is to be believed as Fighter 5, well this artwork both fits the """"""COLOR THEORY"""""" of orange, which Daisy would fit as well, along with doing the Peace sign like in the image.

Captain Shwampy gains more power for each Sega Series in Smash. Also, a Puzzle game character in Smash could be neat. We got Doc, but he doesn't really take puzzle mechanics into his gameplay like Hero with RPG stuff, Ryu/Ken/Terry with Classic Inputs or Mega Man having dat TING.

But that still doesn't make any sense since they'd need to base it on something.

I can say "There won't be Buck Bumble", and while I'm probably true, I have nothing to base that on other than my own feelings, this leaker needs to have 'something' they're basing their info on, or it's nothing better than pointless speculation.
