So why ditch them? Why ditch a rule we’ve been working with for months NOW of all times before it’s even been disproved by anything official. It feels like people are just trying to make the characters they want feel more likely.
Vergeben is a liar and it actually is Heihachi or Augumon.
I don't think we're getting a Namco/Capcom character either, but many so called "rules" that fans place get trashed anyway. Really, the only "rules" that still seem to be in place is that a character HAS to originate from a video game. And a character who is already an Assist Trophy has NOT been made playable as well yet in the same game yet. But Mac, Charizard, D.Samus and Isabelle made the jump in between games.
- We originally thought a company would only get one character per third party, yet Mega Man and Ryu/Sonic and Bayo were in Smash 4.
- We never thought a third party series would get a 2nd character, yet we got Richter and Ken.
- No one thought Chrom would get in because of being in Robin's Final Smash, yet he's playable.
- We were told Ridley was too big, yet he's fully playable.
- Or King K. Rool being too irrelevant and past his prime to add.
- Joker straight up has a handgun when we all thought guns would bar a character from being playable.
- Banjo&Kazooie are owned by another console maker, something most people would understandably doubt being added in.
Not to say all of these are super
likely. Just not impossible either. There's a smaller chance to get another character like Mega Man X or Fiora to be playable, whilst also being in a Final Smash like Chrom. And we aren't sure if "irrelevant" characters like K.Rool and Banjo&Kazooie will happen again. But people are still rooting for Geno and Isaac. However to say that it's impossible simply because some dude on Twitter or Youtube says it is, rather than some actual game developer, is meaningless.
I personally never thought Cloud of all characters would get in, yet he is.
