Finished all 4 Spirit battles.

I would say, other than how clever Leon's was, they were pretty disappointing as a whole.

I don't understand why Wesker was Captain Falcon, Joker would make way more sense.
Chris was "guns and muscles," I guess?
Jill as Wii Fit Trainer is a bad fit, and I guess giant Ganondorf is the only character that really makes sense for Nemesis.

It's also annoying that none of them are Legendary, I think I would have switched Chris and Jill, have Chris be the support and have Jill enhance to the RE5 design, whoch would be Legendary.

Also, I would have added a giant Corrin to Leon's battle to represent Dr. Salvador, but it's pretty much perfect as it is too.

Alright, let me fill you in on some of the references if you don't mind:

For Wesker's battle, it's supposed to be a direct homage to the final boss battle in RE5, with Norfair being a stand-in for the active volcano that the battle takes place inside of. Also, I'd figure they chose Captain Falcon just to emulate Wesker's glasses which completely cover his eyes, much like the former's visor on his helmet.

For Chris, his battle is based on his story campaign in RE6. Snake being the chosen character to represent him is because both are heavily armed soldiers who utilize different weaponry, the Richter puppet fighter carrying the Staff item references Piers Nivans and his signature weapon: the Anti-Material Rifle, and with Fourside as the stage choice being a reference to Lanshiang, the main setting for most of RE6.

The Ganondorf puppet fighter is probably more of a stand-in to the T-002 Tyrant, given that Jill's battle is themed after the original RE.

DLC can’t be on spirit battles outside their personal Spirit Board hence Falcon and not Joker.

That sucks, I hope in some "complete edition" down the line they go back and add DLC characters to fitting Spirit battles.

Second, YAY! My 3DS has returned from Nintendo for repairs! They didn't fix the original problem (black screen of death) but rather gave me a brand new 3DS with all my stuff transfered over (same model and color).

Glad I got a new one instead of reviving my 4 year old one. Boy, was it worn out big time (scratches, dirty, C stick worn out, camera mode tended to crash, etc)!

Download the option for JPN voices from the eShop ASAP.

The English voice acting for XC2 is pretty awful with a few exceptions, and I say this as a huge fan of the original game's dub.

TBH I don't take Sabi 100% for their word given their behavior. If they're legit, oh well, there's more fighters coming. Maybe next time.
