Here's my brother's review as a fan of the series:
"It's a great game that pushes the bar on Dragon Quest in NEARLY every way.

There've been several points where the mainline could have ended right around that point and I would've said 'Yeah that seems fair. But it keeps going. Like in a good way.

It's pretty well-paced balancewise. [Referring to grinding]

9/10."

It's not a 10/10 because he thinks the story could have been better in areas.

check if your SD card is ExFAT. if it is, save everything on a computer and format the SD card to FAT32, pretty sure its FAT32.

may be wise to disable autosave on the game a well in case that is also a problem

I'm just reluctant to try it out after buying DQVIII for the 3DS and being pretty disappointed by it.

From what Ive seen you lose stuff that you'll be able to redoenload anywat minus screenshots since they would be god for good

Realistically you should be fine, especially if you're using a Nintendo branded card. Many SD cards are formatted to FAT32 by default so unless you've reformatted your SD card at some point you probably won't be affected.

Yeah, Im going to redownload the demo later today and try it again.

Also, dont mean to sound greedy, but do any of you have any more suggestions? Remember that the only console I can’t collect physical copies for is the N64. Anything else is fair game.

I haven't put much time into World at all, honestly. The only things I could see being problematic for a while are tools going back to breaking on you after MHW made them indestructible, being forced to carry whetstones again, and stopping to flex every time you drink a potion or something.

Oh, and I guess the scoutflies too, assuming that you have trouble tracking monsters down in the older games.

If you play as a prowler, you always know where the monsters are and tools dont break

Anyone else dissapointed that we don’t have Persona 5 on Switch? Like, every other game has gotten a portable re-release. And this time they have an option that people actually own.

Plus it would mean a lot of the stories vague Nintendo Allusions could become straight up references.

Also for people worried about the SwoShi SD card wiping, save data is stored on the Switch's local memory and not the SD card. Worst case scenario if it happens to you, your SD card needs to be reformatted and you need to redownload your digital games, but your 1000 hour BotW save file is gonna be okay.

I was put off by how grindy everything seemed to be, the story didn't really seem to be going anywhere interesting in the 20 or so hours I invested into it, none of the characters were really grabbing me while some actually annoyed me, and I think that some of the music is pretty irritating to listen to. (War Cry is one of the worst battle themes that I've ever heard in an RPG.)

Granted, this was before I decided to start at the beginning of the series and managed to develop some appreciation for these games, so maybe my opinion will change on it once I've caught up.

xD I think I was able to see one of those ice creams in person and god, the bubblegum eyeballs were what made it terrifying looking. I wonder how would Silver and Shadow look if they had their ice cream version.

Yeah, I've listened to some of the orchestral tracks and they're definitely much more preferable over Midi.

War Cry is still pretty grating to listen to regardless of the soundfont, though, and that's a big one for me since it's the most recurring song in the game.

Just brush up on the subject matter a little more and I'm sure you'll kick the test's ass next time.

Probably not, it's less an issue with the game and more an issue with how the Switch handles ExFAT SD cards. If you wanna be safe though you can see what your card is formatted to by putting it in your PC and checking it's properties, then re-formatting it if it's not FAT32.

Ok, I think I know what happened to my iPad and I'm legit pissed right now.

My father probably took It while I was sleeping and hided it in a place my mother didn't know so she couldn't help me find It. Then the ****** went to the meeting with his friends and right now is spending the whole day there expecting me to be annoying my mother over the iPad while he gets away with it and act like the heroe of the story when he returns at night "defending my mother from me".

The goddam coward.

I didn't mean lock and key literally, honestly. By lock and key, I meant to just put it somewhere my parents don't have access too(such as a friends house, for example)
