This is an entirely different issue.

The plant situation only happened when you tried to use Plant in All Star mode, and it was limited to just that. Plus, the corruption was limited to Smash only, not any other games.

Saving with digital copies here could not only corrupt Sword/Shield, but ANY OTHER GAME saved to the SD card, to my knowledge.

Switch doesn't save it's save data to the SD card, though. Everything regarding that is saved locally on internal data. Apparently, the more the situation is being examined, people are finding the save data for games is fine; it's the SD cards that get messed up, and there's some thought that it's being caused by offbrand cards again.

I can’t believe they actually made us wait till we discovered it in the game to talk about the starter evos.

And because of that we STILL can’t talk about them openly because now it’s a “spoiler”.

I’m gonna go back to sleep. I’m to tired to deal with this without ********.

Yeah, it woulda been nice if they revealed it officially like, this morning or something, but nada, nothing.

Not super bothered, because ya know, leaks, but otherwise I would be super pissed.

Oh yeah, what's Noipoi doing atm? He said he was going to play the game the day it came out, right?

I assume Noi's playing it, but wants to stay away from Smashboards. He's unhealthily attached to Pokemon to where criticizing it just makes him really sad. He also doesn't want to be spoiled. Judging from the recent topics we've had, I can see why he's on hiatus.

Does anyone know how region locking works with Ultimate? Im trying to play online with a friend who lives in Singapore but we're having technical difficulties. Is there a region lock thing in that country or are we doing something wrong?

As far as I'm aware, Region Locking isn't what you're describing.

It is possible to prevent people from X region from playing with people from Y region, but Nintendo has pretty much no history of doing so.
Considering the distance, probably ****ty connection.

Considering you are trying to connect to a dude from Singapore, region Locking isnt what your getting because all switch games arent region locked

I guess that I'm keeping my copy sealed until they get this **** squared away.

Edit: nvm, seems like this is only an issue for fake SD cards

Apparently some people have bought Pokemon SwSh for the sole purpose of targeting their teammates in Max Raid Battles to ruin other player's experiences. Classy. :dkmelee:

Also, Joe Merrick and another person have shared more info about the data corruption. Saves are indeed not lost and the problem has everything to do with Nintendo hardware, not the game itself:


It's incredible how so much of what was spread about this was misinformation. People practically wanted this to be an issue with the game itself.

What should I pick up next? And are there any noticeable absences?

(The only mainline console that I can’t collect games for atm is N64, I could only post one image. And I got LM3 with Gamefly)

In other news. Black Adam gets an release date announced for December 22nd, 2021.

Shazam! to date is the only DCEU movie I really like and much look forward to its sequel since it'll be the same director.

Much look forward to this. On top of loving Dwayne Johnson this is being done by a director whose done movies I've liked Non-Stop and The Shallows.

Bloodborne is what got me to bite the bullet and buy a PS4. I highly recommend it if you're a fan of FromSoft.

I'd get the Switch version for the Orchestral soundtrack alone. The MIDIs get grating after a long while. Plus extra content is always a nice plus. If you don't have a Switch, sure. The PS4 is good enough.

I’m still not sure if I like the idea of movies centered around the villain. Especially DC villains who are supposed to be legitimately pure evil. Like, Black Adam is a movie that will try to get you to empathize with a fascist super-dictator. You should not be in a position to empathize with him. If you are, and your not a horrible person, then the filmmakers have not properly depicted the character.

Look closely at the pic.

I do have Rare Replay. its bundled with Gears of War.

And part of me kind of wanted to wait to collect the authentic PS1 versions for them.

Would it be odd to do both?

I mean.... not really. But most people are saying that these versions are the definitive versions and that there’s no real reason to get the originals thanks to all the quality of life updates.

I sadly don't feel so, since you'll miss a lot of content that makes the game better such as the orchestrated OST (which actually makes the game way better than one could imagine).
