Ahhh, Sonic.

I wonder if Mario will keep making lyrical songs now that Pauline hit it off in Odyssey.

If they do, is it always gonna be Pauline singing? Or might we get some Princess Peach or Rosalina songs? Rosalina could definitely sing a lullaby if they made a new Galaxy.

To be fair, it's not like Lead the Way is canonically proven to be sung by Pauline.

It doesn't really matter though, because if you wanna be cynical, it could be seen as false advertising, whether you agree or disagree with the censoring. In that case I can totally see why people would be peeved about this and NoJ offering to cancel pre-orders. Better to be safe than sorry, I suppose.

Do I think Nintendo should've told people in advance? Yes.

Do I think this is worth canceling your preorder? No, not really. I can see why you could be disappointed by this, but going as far as to threaten to not buy the game seems like an overreaction.

They purposefully added Wii U screenshots on the Switch pre-order info, that is deceptive and whether something matters or not is of no relevancy here. Deception is deception no matter how big or small. And we're talking about a full 60 bucks game here.
And if you really wanna get into the nitty gritty, it could indeed be called "lying by omission", by not letting people know about that beforehand.
