I've been on a leave while I get my private life in order, though I noticed the Sora4Smash hashtag trending tod... yesterday. Curious where that started. Haven't kept up on rumors, but my suspicion is there haven't been much.



Yeah, reading the ForSmash accounts he's referring to, it looks like it was an innocent mistake that he unfortunately got caught up in. Though, his response is--weird. If people spam, the proper response is to just mute and get over it, not lash out at the vast majority of fans who don't spam.

Not sure I approve the method, but...

It's a good thing that someone reminded Smash fans that they can't get whatever they want just by screaming about it constantly. A lot of supporters don't care about bothering or hurting actual people as long as they think they can get their fave into Smash.

This Harada stuff DOES mean one thing. He'll also tell Sakurai about EVO 2019's disasterous prank, so that might mean Sakurai would know people want to see Solid Snake in fighting games. Maybe we can see Snake for Smash?

To clarify, it was a group collab thing and one random person tagged him and Sakurai amongst a bunch of ForSmash account tags/fan tags, and no one noticed. From what I’ve seen, the people behind the accounts have never spammed anyone and this wasn’t intended to happen.

That's what I pointed out, though even if we were to accept that they were spammers as just an assumption, the tweet was still ill-conceived in my mind and not worthy of praise because it went beyond being critical of those who are spamming. His second tweet was a far more better response, acknowledging it's good to speak your voice, but to do it in a civil and respectful manner. I do feel bad for Sakurai and developers like him, because even taking this incident out of the equation, they still receive so much spam and vitriol, it's almost understandable to have a knee-jerk reaction to some bad apples. Almost.

At the beginning of the game talk to this guy facing the wall for seemingly no reason.

He actually has something interesting to say.

Harada is absolutely not serious about talking to the developers about not adding characters to Smash, but I think he’s right about it being annoying to the developers when tons of people tag them in tweets about characters they want.

I mostly just find it hilarious.
