F.L.U.D.D. analyzes Mario’s actions and had clips of him from previous games.

E. Gadd makes a robot that looks similar to Mario and matches his behavior (in one of the arcade Mario Kart GP games with Pac-Man).

And he captures lost souls so he can turn them into paintings for cash.
