I mean, Rhea isn't written to be more evil just because unlike Edelgard.

Rhea loses her **** as her goal, bringing Sothis back, becomes unachievable by Byleth's decision to side with Edelgard, with her slowly but surely constantly descending to madness to the point Seteth fears Rhea. That's especially understandable with GD context but even without it, I had the impression that she probably had a reason to lose her **** to the point she even tried to burn down an entire city, taking countless potential lives of people trying to protect her. Suddenly Edelgard potentially killing Bernie/A generic soldier doesn't seem so bad

Yeah but that's the thing, Edel never lose her sanity, Rhea does, and someone who can't think properly ain't going to do great decision, that's a given.

That, and the reason she lost her **** is because you pretty much allied to the person who wanted to take the remain of Rhea peoples right in front of her eyes (who I remind you, were made into weapon to kill her & other kin), and even before when trying to steal Sothis spine & kidnapping Flayn for her blood, one of the few survivor of her race, you joining Edel & pulling a Nemesis was pretty much the last straw that Rhea could handle before she turn a insane woman crying for her mother. (that and lal the time someone tried to kill her beforehand probably didn't help)

She stay sane in all other routes for a reason what I'm saying is, and that doesn't make her a good person btw, but there is a reason why she act like she does in BE

i missed two people, add Ferdinand and Caspar to my list but other then those 4, the rest are blah. Im watching a streamer play the BE path, hes at timeskip, and Huberts supports are pretty good

Becaue it's late here and I suck at debate, that's why.

Anyway, Edel is OK, I prefer Hubert over her if I'm being honest & BL deserve to be played to see what it give to the character in it, especially since quit a few member of the cast got interesting relation with some of vilains, like Dimitri with Edel, Sylvain & his brother,

Playing this route really made me care more about some of those characters that I think I would if I played others routes first, especially since I heard that

BK pretty much dissipear post timeskip, which is a huge missed opportunity if you had recruited Mercedes before, or even without her, seeing more edgy BK OC would have been a great point for BE, but while the DLC is going to fix this (hopefully), I still feel like they could have done more with him pre-patch (that, and we don't know if he is going to be only avaible for BE with the DLC, right?)

Brief, give the boyz a chance, and Annette too, she is a sweet girl.

I still played through FFVII on Switch (albeit with the cheat modes on) because I love the story of FFVII. I didn’t finish it though. And i’ll probably end up liking the remake way more.

Astral Chain is fantastic. But that's basically all I can realistically say about it. It doesn't lend itself to discussions the way a story and character focused game like Three Houses does

I'll spare you the Edelgard talk since the rest of thread is still going on about her, but if it's one character that really surprised me, it's Dorothea. Going into the game I honestly thought she'd be among my least favorites since it seemed like they were going for something similar to Charlotte, who I didn't really enjoy.

Then she ended up having some of the best supports in the game, with her Ferdinand supports being my personal favorites. AND she ditched the hat after the timeskip, which was also great. Her motivations make sense and highlight some key shortcomings about Fódlan's current society, her reactions to the game's events are really well done, especially in the war phase, and Allegra Clark's voice work is phenomenal. She's one of the characters who changes the most over the course of the game.

Her monastery dialogue after the Great Bridge of Myrddin is heartbreaking on Verdant Wind and Azure Moon if you didn't recruit Ferdinand, since otherwise you kill him there.

Like, going into the game I expected her to be my least favorite of the Black Eagles, and then she turned out to be my third favorite in the entire game lmao.

Props for Ferdinand though since he's my second favorite in the game. :V
