I just beat Fire Emblem Three Houses! (well, the Black Eagle route, anyway)

I think it's my favourite Fire Emblem game, though so far, my sample size is pretty small. (Awakening and half of the Birthright route of Fates) Unlike Fates, the game doesn't keep throwing character after character into your team without giving you any time to get to know them or care about them. (aside from some optional recruits in the first half, it sticks pretty closely to the core group of eight people within your house of choice, plus Byleth)

Unlike Awakening, the antagonists aren't cartoonishly evil (aside from the cultists, or Those Who Slither In The Dark), since we've had time to get to know them, and all of the sides seem to have valid points. (though I didn't learn much about Dimitri in my playthrough) They aren't like Validar or Gangrel, who basically scream "MWAHAHA!! Look at how evil I am!" with literally everything that they do.

I'm sure that the other routes will flesh things out more (the Blue Lions will give me some idea about what Dimitri's deal is, at least, while I've read that the Golden Deer route expands on the backstory), but I don't want to get burned out, so I'll try Link's Awakening next. I haven't played much of that game (I rented it in the past, but I doubt I got much further than the first dungeon), but by my understanding, it's fairly short. (I'll either play that or Spyro 1)

Golden Deer didn't give me a choice to not off her anyhow, I killed her with Byleth so I think it just ain't in the cards. And something tells me Dimitri ain't gonna give a choice either. Might be his incel bloodlust idk. Also I couldn't spare Dimitri in GD either, and he also fell by Byleth's hands. So in conclusion, Claude is the ultimate survivor. Another reason to include him in Smash.
