As someone who adores Bulbasaur (it's my absolute favorite together with Ivysaur and Venusaur), yes, that's an abomination. They could've at least given it its iconic red eyes. The only good Funo Pop i've seen was Scrooge McDuck, where the pitch black beady eyes don't look out of place.

I actually don’t. But considering Danny and Aron frequently do animation and vo work for their videos (on purpose. Not just the ones that get made based on their playsessions), I think they’ve got the chops to do good vo work. Besides. Since when has any dub job actually REQUIRED talented voice acting? We all know that you don’t get the go ahead to dub an anime or video game unless you performance is suitably ****ty. Doubly so for a NINTENDO game (assuming we’re talking about Smash)

Then it hasn’t caught up to video games yet. Everything always just sounds so unnatural in the dubbed Japanese games i’ve played. From Astral Chain to Street Fighter V to Persona 5.
