So, I came to a conclusion about the Smash announcements the other day. This might be obvious, but I'm going to say it anyway.

I think they announced that more characters are in development when they did for a very specific reason, they knew a lot of people wouldn't react well to Terry because he's more of a niche character and there were going to be a lot of people angry that he "took a more popular character's spot."

Nah its most probably because they knew the internet would be at each other's throats over that last DLC spot so better to let everyone know that more is on the way...

He's abusive. There isn't a middle ground in being abusive or not.

I didn't see the context of the original tweets (I guess they got deleted) so I don't know if this really applies here, but I will say that there is a ton of gray area as to what's really abusive or not, and there are different levels of abuse.

Taking spanking a kid versus beating them. I'd argue both are abusive (although many would disagree with me on the former), but one of them is far more forgivable then the other.

Or lying to a partner versus gas lighting them. Is there really that much of a difference between the two? Then there's occasionally insulting someone versus constantly verbally berating them. I could go on and on.

...I know that this is a sensitive topic most people aren't going to want to linger on, but I felt like it needed to be said. It is, like many issues, a more complicated issue then people often give it credit for.

It’s easy to dodge, and has some start up and end lag, making it easy to punish. On top of that, it can only be used five times per stock. I wouldn’t call it broken.

Banjo’s grenade has a RNG mechanic regarding the bounces it makes. Let’s ban him

So far I haven’t got any problem with the DLC picks gameplay-wise.

They are pretty good if you know how to use them and also fit your playstyle, but they can also be fought back with enough practice.

but it has Armor and can kill Pichu at 41% at the ledge
that's pretty damn powerful

Yeah, it is still easy to dodge with enough timing and is limited to 5 per life stock anyway.

Banjo isn’t so broken for me based on what I’ve played.

Just don’t tell Australia that Banjo has a RNG mechanic with the bounces made by his grenades.

Hence why you get to use it only 5 times per stock.

Considering Banjo has horrible horizontal recovery, you're also gonna have to use it at least a couple times as a recovery tool rather than an attack.

And unless you land the initial hit of the attack, your Smash attacks are still better kill options.

Btw, the Erdrick trilogy ports have thankfully gotten an english translation and physical release! While it will be for Asia, sites such as PlayAsia will highly likely allow people in the West to import them, and since region locked content isn’t a thing anymore we can indeed get the Erdrick Trilogy on Switch with a decent english localization!

Ooh, thanks for the heads up on this. I didn't even know that the first three DQ games were coming to Switch until you mentioned it.

I'll make sure to snag a physical copy once it's available.
