Terry is an wtf character?

If you really think about it. His inclusion makes lot of sense and I'm kinda surprised he wasn't featured in Smash until now likegiven SNK's legacy and the icon and face of SNK. Fatal Fury/King of Fighters also being one of the many inspirations of Smash Bros such as shield blocking and Sakurai having played the games being a fan.

He's notlol.

How exactly would you incorporate the feel of an FPS protagonist in a game like this?

I don't know about Doom specifically, but I'd an imagine an FPS rep having limited ammo, with their projectiles able to be aimed anywhere, having very long range.

How exactly would you incorporate the feel of an FPS protagonist in a game like this?

If you're talking about Doomguy (since he was discussed on the last page), I feel like basing it around the gameplay of Doom 2016 would be better than basing it around the gameplay of the originals. In Doom 2016, the game encourages you to constantly stay mobile and get up close and personal with your enemies (by contrast, the original Doom lets you shoot enemies from across the room with a shotgun - as long as they're in your line of sight, you can hit them). Staying still is death. Maybe that could be reflected by Doomguy being lighter than expected, and having weapons that are either short range (such as shotguns and a chainsaw) or extremely obvious (like rocket launchers and the Gauss Cannon).

If it's someone like Tracer, an emphasis on mobility would be even more obvious since (unlike Doomguy) she's not wearing any armour, she can teleport, and she relies on whittling down the health of enemies as opposed to defeating them in one fell swoop.

Beyond that, I'm not sure - I don't play many first person shooters.

Okay, I feel the need to discuss my thoughts on what's to come for DLC:

Akira Howard: As a brand new IP for Nintendo, it would be a perfect chance to promote it more with the main character(s) to be in Smash, especially with how successful Astral Chain has been for the Switch. They could pull an interesting moveset out of the many Legions found in Astral Chain for a tag-team archetype akin to the Ice Climbers & Rosalina.

Fire Emblem & Pokémon: Personally, I don't really see the likes of Edelgard or a Gen 8 Pokémon being DLC, nor do I really want it to happen honestly. Just mainly because of the possibility of another raging saltstorm turned up by most of the Smash community due to their most wanted being overshadowed and their "deserving" slot on the roster being "stolen".

Dream Pick - Crash Bandicoot: Yep, the orange marsupial himself. Been thinking of which character I can see in the final Challenger Pack for the Fighter Pass, so I ended up picking him at most. He's been featured in my other predictions for the DLC in the past months with a few other picks of mine, which I mostly did out of fun as other fans have begun speculating.
