Thank God I’m not the only one with this mindset.

It is likely that this is user has different sources. One at Gamefreak and one at Nintendo. Always take leaks with a grain of salt guys. Things aren’t looking too good but that doesn’t mean it’s a deconfirm.

I think the best thing about S&S is the Wild Areas. World Building and interesting locals has always been one of Pokemon's strong suits, and I am happy thay they are putting the new hardware to use in order to give a much more grander scope on the region of Galar.

So, here's my assumption with Wild Areas:

Since they connect several cities, and from screenshots, seem to be one expansive area, I am going to say that you can go to gyms in any order you want to. However, I feel as if more powerful Pokemon are going to appear the closer you get to the Elite 4, so it would probably be encouraged to follow the gyms in order.

Now, this may not be the case for story purposes however.

The Avatar/Buddy from Sonic Forces and Harriet the Broodal fron Odyssey were literally only shown for a few seconds at best, but the internet works extremely fast. Literally an hour after being revealed to the public were those pics beginning to pop up on NSFW sites.
