Oh. Sorry. Sometimes you forget what you have and haven’t asked before.

I did just do some looking around and, unless Wikipedia is lying (which is very well could be) the September direct has been on the 13th every year since the Switch became a thing. Wonder if that pattern will hold.

Last year was supposed to be a week earlier until the earthquake happened to be fair.

If I recall last years Direct was supposed to be on the 6th but was pushed to the 13th after the earthquakes.

Right! I forgot about that! For some reason I thought that direct happened in October.

So, not a pattern. Sad face.

Though if it does happen on the 13th then... that would be cool, I guess.

I've heard of it.

Also, the BEST quest for peace scene is when a single strand of superman's hair is holding up a 1000lb. weight in a museum. And it could be cut with standard wire cutters. Like....what?! lol. And also, why even his hair?!

Okay. Even as a Superman fan that feels ridiculous. Like, his hair is tough, he has to trim it and shave his face with his own heat vision. But.... I don’t know. I simultaneously feel like it shouldn’t be able to be cut by those cutters, but it also shouldn’t be able to hold up a weight like that by itself.

Pokemon Let's Go was an unambitious, cheap cash in based on an outdated game. The amount of content compared to past games was laughable, they didn't even bother with the Battle Tower and did less then the bare minimum with online features. Hau 2.0 also made for a terribly anti-climatic final battle - the rivalry just wasn't there.

But danggit if Eevee isn't just too cute.

Except he likely doesnt. He has said it himself, Nintendo gives him a whole bunch of random names each time he records and they use what they want

That is..... clever. And kind of stupid. I mean, they pay him that much extra just to keep the characters under-wraps?

I’d love to know the whole list they used.

I think they were just gonna bring in many villains like Lizard, Vulture and Mysterio.

He may still have had the humanoid face like Rhys Ifans in ASM (because that was Avi Arad's idea), but he would've at least been written better :yoshi:

I don’t think we will know, Xander said he’s not allowed to disclose names, he tries to avoid commenting and saying character names because of that too.

They probably put a lot of names in there too from Nintendo and other third parties.

I wonder if as a joke they ever had him say goku...

I was thinking that. Probably have him say almost everything under the sun.

I was just thinking it would be fun, in a post-dlc world, if we got to hear those names as a kind of bonus whatever. Like seeing concept art.

Jeese. If they pay him to do that, you’d think they’d also pay him to call out the stage names (every other fighter does it. Why doesn’t Smash)

Actually, I doubt that.

Xander himself has gone on record to say before that when he recorded for Smash 4, Nintendo made him say a LOT of names, many of which didn't actually get into the game and some being outlandish.


He probably knows about as much as we do.
