I hope if there’s a new PM game for the Switch, that it’d be a much better and higher quality game than the last two. That’s what I hope to accomplish with my own ideas for one.
With the way that other Nintendo series have been responding to feedback, here's hoping that PM's developers are listening too

Pokemon is the only that has not been responding to peoples wanting National Dex back, and that is good.

Although I'm aware it's not necessarily part of Nintendo.

Nintendo is all about keeping their characters silent and personality-less so they can “represent the player” almost always at the expense of story.
their in house games sure, but this is being developed by Platinum Games, who don't really do that from what I understand

You're conflating all of Nintendo with Mario and Link.

Samus speaks. The Star Fox cast speaks. The Pikmin, Animal Crossing, and Splatoon casts speak through text boxes. Fire Emblem has only had one "silent" protagonist and they're silent the same way Joker is, and it's warranted given the story. Xenoblade has full voice acting.

You're really off the mark here.

I just bought it and I'm wanting to play with others online once I unlock the online mode
I suggest completeing the game before playing. online because thats when the real fun starts.
also Malroth best boy but you'll see why later in the story
Ok. First. You made those names up.

Second. It’s not just that they’re silent. Heck, they talk in the trailers so we know that’s not true. But that they’ll lack personality. Look at every other IP they’ve created or had a major hand in. Even back when they were just Kamiya’s team at Capcom. Dante, Viewtiful Joe, Bayonetta, The Wonderful Ones, 2B, even Raiden in MGRR. You know who they are, you know what they’re about, and they leave an impression. I feel that lacking that personality will detract from the quality of the story (because they’re just going to feel like observers rather than characters) and will make the whole title feel less memorable as a result.
you sure this isnt a problem of you looking for to much in a game?

Is it so much to want the story to actually mean something? To actually be something? The story is one of the reasons you play hack n slashes.

People are only criticizing you saying it's a Nintendo exclusive thing.

Hack n Slashes aren't played for the story. At all.

For the record, I don't entirely disagree with you as one of my few criticisms about 3H is how Byleth never ****ing talks in a fully voiced game

Galarian weezing is a lot of fun it seems.

Also coverknight’s ha reflects stat changes. That could make it a pretty scary switch in at times.

Idk, Mario has personality, I mean, look at all the GameCube- Early Wii Mario games, Odyssey, Dark Moon, and the RPGs. Mario shows off a lot of personality, instead of the whole "I GOT TO SAVE THE PRINCESS!" attitude that he has in the 2D games.

Link varies from game to game, like, in the Toon games he is brimming with expressiveness, in Skyward Sword he's got a lot of charm and goofiness to him, but in games like Twilight Princess... stoic.

Okay, my guy. I gotta say this.

I get it, you just wanna have some fun and you feel like the negative vibes are bringing you down.

But why do you feel the need to point this out every time? In fact, I feel like you’d have a better time if you just ignored the critics. Let them do their thing, and you’ll do your thing.

I shared it because I thought it was funny, not because I was mad or anything. Everyone should know by now that Twitter users are the last people you should go to for opinions.

I think you're just getting hypersensitive to SwSh discussions. There's people on both sides who make positive/negative remarks from time to time. It's not just me.

Dog, I’m just noticing patterns. It doesn’t go any deeper then that.

He definitely has his moments of expression and reaction though I think the best case of Mario’s personality being more defined is in Super Mario Adventures, I wouldn’t mind if the characters took more cues from those comics.

Well that’s just... wrong.
Hack n slashes are played for the combat first and foremost.
Story isn't as much of a concern. Why else do you think Devil May Cry, God of War and Bayonetta do so well?
It's not their stories (sans Dad of Boi). Their stories are either complete ass or some ridiculous over the top cheese, sometimes a combination of the two.

No one said it isn't in AC though? Like I said, just because the MC is silent doesn't mean there can't be a great story. In fact, most early previews have praised the story to some degree

I find Link to be a strange case; while he certainly has personality, he never utters a word unlike Mario and just makes sounds, plus you can name him whatever you want (with other characters calling him by that name) even if his name is in the title (I think? Haven’t played Link’s Awakening so I’m not sure. Zelda 2 mentions his name if you wait at the title screen but I don’t know about characters in the game. I guess it’s still strange since you can name him in at least almost every game anyway).

Now, I'm seeing some competitive Pokemon players being intrigued by the ability and move update, and some are curious on how the meta will form now without Megas and Z-Moves sweeping.

Which, come to think about it... yeah, that's a good take. The meta will be shaken up alot without Megas and Z-Moves, so new and underused mons may have their chance to shine.

Anyway, I just restate that the attack animations in Sword and Shield look CLEAN in the new trailer. Hydro Pump, Trick Room, whatever that Giant Fist attack was, and Draco Meteor definitely look top notch. Idk why everyone's still comparing it to a 3DS, or even DS game.

It seems like the overworld animations need a but of work, and not the battle animations.
