R.I.P. SEGA (1940 - 2015). I was hoping that these guys wouldn't aim for a PC/mobile only future, but it has to be done since most of their recent console and handheld titles were failures. I guess the bright side is that Sega's older titles will live on in the form of tv shows and movies in the future.

This is really depressing.

Even if Sega's in a PC/mobile future, who's going to by a PC game that's crappy? They need to up the quality of the Sonic games they release.

I just really hope Sega does nothing stupid with Atlus. But this shouldn't effect Atlus too much. Anyway, from what I heard though, this is mostly talking about the Western operations, and the Japanese branch is doing fine. except for the arcade business.

But it's more frustrating that they're cutting a ton of jobs. RIP employees.

I've seen some news on the Sega forums that imply that they will talk more about the subject on February 12. Hopefully they can explain everything about their future plans for the Blue Blur and tell us if Sega of Japan will still make console games for us.

I loved Billy Hatcher... It's a pretty random, but fun game. Damn, I need to play it again haha.

About ISIS and the Japanese hostages, I believe one of them is already dead.

Besides ISIS-chan, they also made a ****ton of photoshop montages essentially mocking the terrorist group. They went viral and some people even criticized such stuff for being imprudent.

I kinda grew up a bit with Sega via starting with Sega Genesis and Dreamcast. I'm gonna miss SA2B, and PSO, my 2 most enjoyed games of the company.
On the other hand, I have these 2 lovely characters...

But to be fair, Sega was gonna fall sooner or later, like Capcom did when they started neglecting Megaman iirc.

I'm not really miffed about SEGA falling out like this, I kinda expected it to happen with how much of a flop Sonic Boom was, and since they have been firing a lot of their workers for a while even before Sonic Boom, so they were never really doing that good in my opinion.

As much as I don't want to think about it, I think Sonic the Hedgehog is finished.

The only way I see Capcom dying is if Street Fighter V or any of their other next gen games flop and I don't really see that happening soon. But DLC greed aside, they have made better decisions when compared to Sega which is why they still live despite being nearly bankrupt.
