Just wait till the next pokemon game where they make the trainers visible in battle like Colosseum,XD and Revolution! Attack confirmation poses are to come eventually!

Personally, I've always wanted to see Pokemon take on a more Final Fantasy XIII style of gameplay and combat where you can actually see the Pokemon out on the field and the pokemon are moving around and not just standing there waiting. I imagine that something like that is gonna be extremely difficult if not impossible for all 700+ Pokemon especially those who don't look as mobile (Muk, Magikarp, Stunfisk, etc). When I was playing the original FF13 I kept thinking that this would be better as a Pokemon game lol.

Pokken tournament is the closest we've gotten as of now though.

Honestly before that Id like the idle moments to have an in combat stance. Look up a game called The Last Remnant and look at its combat. If you idle while your squad engaged with an enemy squad then both sides will "attack" using regular attacks and special skills but not actually dealing damage.

Id kill for that to be in a pokemon game.

Are you saying we should have more Pokémon games like Pokkén? Well, the concept is quite the good one, but I dunno if it could work on handhelds since main-series Pokémon games will always be on handhelds. Maybe if the next Nintendo handheld is powerful enough, we'll see.
Then again, the 3DS has shown that even with "weak hardware", it can still do the job.

The Last Remnant is a great turn based Moral combat RPG and you should all get it!
It has a new game+ that lets you keep crafting items and has a hard mode that lets it have tons and tons of replay value!
And if you can get by the fact its a "hard core" game in that it has effectively 0 tutorials and you may need to go to the wiki or an experienced TLR player (such as myself!) then you will have even more fun!

Yosh! Finished the 50000 blocks in Trophy Rush challenge! Now I can focus on finishing Classic 7.0 with everyone, then 10 characters in Smash Tour, then Classic 9.0 without losing a life. The other four are collecting stuff such as all custom moves, all headgears, 700 trophies, and all CDs, making a total of 7 challenges left.

It can still be turn based and on a handheld. I just want more movement because its looks weird (and now that we're in a fully 3D Pokemon generation) that the Pokemon just kinda stand there. That kind of thing worked better when they were sprite based IMO but not so much now. In FF13 you can't move the characters manually in battles but instead they kind of shuffle around on their own while you choose your commands so I think that would look better aesthetically. Or at least they can stand there and they get pushed back when they get attacked. A set stage with boundaries (like what Pokken and 13 has) would be ideal for that.

However, the obvious problem with this is Pokemon who look like they don't or can't move, and of course the hardware. Imagine having double or triple battles where all the Pokemon are moving on their own FF13 style? It'd be a cluster**** to say the least and knowing Nintendo the frame rate would drop to about 2. So a more powerful system (maybe N3DS?) would be useful to make that work.
