Certain Pokemon can verbally speak, but it's usually because anime logic.

Well, Voice Acting is a secondary but important part of the role:
Personally Im glad they kept the same voice clips for Ike: "RAAAAAAHHHH"
Lucario is 50/50: sometimes good ("MAX AURAAAAAA"). but sometimes he sounds like a forced Goku....oh wait
Lucina's voice is one reason why I started maining her, the VA did a great job giving her attitude.

Well, that's the classic anime logic, but Pokémon can understand perfectly the human speech so that explains why Meowth managed to learn it; however he stated that learning human "took one of his four moveslots" (....so he learned the move chatter?)

Oh, the Arceus Movie, I was ok with the PokéGod's voice in both English and Latin dubs (even with the "Prepare for Justice!!!" yells), but after reading that Vincent D'Onofrio was going to be Arceus originally, I got upset because he didn't participated in the end because his agent messed up.

IDK but the movie was just a huge disappointment after the 10th/11th movie build up and the original trailer for the movie:

Arceus gets beaten by a Meteor? The Time-Space Trio rage is thrown out the window within the first 5 minutes by some random girl with creepily huge eyebrows? Time Travel shenanigans?


With the new Mewtwo, I'm just mad that they marketed it towards nostalgic fans, only seeing the movie you'd find out it's a different character, Ash playing dumb again despite knowing who Mewtwo was in the reveal trailer, a poor backstory for the new Mewtwo. The movie had more potential than any other movie and they blew it IMO.

It's been a while since I saw that Zoroark movie, but did the original plot (or at least judging from the concepts in the trailer) have major differences than the finished version? Can't seem to find much info on what was scrapped (other than the trailer we have).

This is so sad... the Pokemon movies are at a point where we could accurately predict on how uninspiring and bad the Pokemon movies are going to turn out. Actually, it's kinda hilarious, but seriously, I'm going to wait and see (neutral expectations). At least I could stand the movies more than the anime. =P

But still, with the 16th movie that Mewtwo reveal trailer (which wasn't the first one to come out) I still find it aggravating given that we last saw the original Mewtwo hanging out in a New York styled city, Ash knowing who Mewtwo was in that trailer, and all the HD/Blu-Ray Re-releases/TV Specials of the 1st Movie and Special. It's really hard to ignore something when it prays upon your childhood.

It was only about a two weeks before they released the movie that they decided to reveal that it wasn't the original, and the fact that there wasn't any real backstory to the new Mewtwo is the final nail in the coffin IMO. Of course, the eventual reveal of Mega X doesn't help much either.

I had two really weird matches today; one horrible and one just... weird. The horrible one involved having 1 second input delays against a Little Mac who spammed nothing, but Dash Attacks and Side Smashes on everyone - it was a Smash fight. The weird one was an Olimar who threw his Pikmin off the cliff, fought me without his Pikmin, died, came back, and decided that it would be a good idea to fight with his Pikmin, and died again. I really wished I saved that matched, but there are things that make your mind go "Blargh" and you don't know what to do, but stay as far away from whatever that was to gain some sanity.

Ash and Pika kinda do annoy me sometimes, especially when it comes to the Team Rocket routine. Just like today's XY episode with the Lapras... Of course Pika's gonna do the final blow against Team Rocket, and he wasn't the one being captured this time. You'd think after 6 regions they'd do something different, let alone Ash should see through at least one of Team Rocket's disguises or even their voice after various routines for over 100 times!

Speaking of which, as much as I hated the Unova anime, at least Team Rocket was cool for the first half of it, actually escaping with jet packs instead of blasting off. Seriously, I kinda liked Team Rocket though I feel they tend to be treated badly so much. They deserve more Pokemon for a change instead of generally 1 each.
I could continue to rant about this, but I'll get to that later.

Depends. Pretty much every Pokemon movie has had the whole frendship thing. Whether it be the thing that starts from the beginning and gets messed with(4ever and others), or the thing that ends the movie(3 and others).
IMO, my favorite pokemon movies are Heroes, 4ever, and 2000.
And the next best are Destiny Deoxys, Rise of Darkrai, Giratina and the Sky Warrior, and Jirachi Wish Maker.
Also, I love the pokemon movie soundtracks.
Lugia's Song, Oracion, Advance Adventure, the Main Theme Remixes, etc.
