So...Who is getting MGS4?

I, personally, am really looking forwar to MGS4's release in about a week. I don't have a PS3 yet, but I'm going to get the $500 bundle that comes with a 60GB PS3, Dual Shock controller, and of course, MGS4. Anyways, who is going to get it?

Hey, at least the 80 gig has the backwards compatiblity for me to play MGS1,2, and 3. The smaller HDD ps3's don't offer it.

Actually the orginal MGS1 black format disc doesn't work, or so I heard...

Anyway, MGS4 will be the game to bring about world peace, and we all use Snake brawl, yayness

Well, I tried playing the original black format MGS1 on my PS3 recently and it kept on freezing during my fight with Raven...usually right when I defeated him...I highly doubt that its just my disc cause I keep all of my game disc in mint condition, so I dunno...

I have had the PS3 since it first came out, and many people think that it is backward compatible for ALL ps1 and 2 games. Its not, its backward compatible for MOST, but there the few that don't work, Metal Gear Solid and Indigo Prophecy are the ones that don't work for me...

MGS2 and MGS3 work though if that makes you feel better

I'm sorry about the double post but I'm ********, you're getting the 80 gig, and I said I had the 60 gig when it first came out, so it probably does work for you, I'm ********...

But just to say it, it didn't work for me >.<

All PS3s are backwards compatible with all PS games. However, the 60GB version has built-in hardware to run PS2 games, the 20/40GB don't allow for backwards compatibility with PS games, and the 80GB uses software emulation to fun PS2 games. So, in short, the 60GB is the best version, with the 80 rounding out as runner-up. Get either of those two.

i got a feeling that it will be on the 360 in about a year b/c i don't think that this game will sell much b/c konami invested alot of money into this game and i don't think it will sell very well on the ps3(b/c not many people have bought one) so they will probably turn to Microsoft.

Actually...lots of people have ps3's, sony and playstation still have a very large fanbase...

No, they won't turn to Microsoft, the game needs SIXAXIS in order to play it and I read somewhere that only the ps3 can handle its awesomeness, it would take 10 discs to put it on the 360...at least thats what I read, its probably wrong, but its still sounds cool >.>

i got a friend who has it reserved. since its the summer here i will be invading his home often to at least feel the experience.
but i will eventually own it, yes.
that and a PS3 to play it on, haha.

id be content enough to just watch the cut scenes on youtube though. that will hold me over until i have it myself.
