So like, I'm starting Uni this fall so I moved out to Edmonton a few weeks ago to stay with my grandparents. (It's cheaper than residence okay? Gosh.) I visit them a lot so I figured it'd be a good idea. Now I'm kinda...thinking otherwise LOL.

Being Asian all my parents are hxc about everything, my grandparents especially. XD

Like, because I slept till 10:30 this morning they think I'll be too lazy to work or attend school. xD And I gotta go to bed at 11pm or else they think I'm an irresponsible white guy. Oh, I forgot to mention, they're hilariously and blatantly racist. In public, they would out right say how many black people there are in the city and how they're gonna take over too many of our jobs. LOL. In Cantonese of course but still. XD

They're also not a big fan of my hair being long-ish so they get me to cut it all the time. I want fob hair and I don't know if that's ever gonna happen. IxxI, I hope you're reading this! Someday my friend, someday. ):

Also, I think the worse is how i can't lock the door. Like, when i'm in the bathroom, they get upset when I lock the door but when I don't they just barge in, without knocking, and just take whatever. Sometimes they just come in to see what's taking so long. >_>

At least i'll be spending most of my time at the uni. XD

tl;dr. Asian grandparents. lol.

I'm not sure why the elderly have to be so single-minded about things, why they can't change. I probably will get it when I'm older, considering that I'm in the opposite mindset of them, but whenever I talk to my own dad about this (he's quite old), he tends to lean back on that.

Get along with your grandparents, of course, and love them dearly. Put up with their faults, as I'm sure you already are. But hell if you take some of their stuff a little too close to heart.
