I know it doesn't mean much from me, but you commit to bad spacing a little more than you should. It's a little knit picky but it's kinda true. Like sometimes you nair and all it does is give your opponent a chance to react and do whatever they want. I noticed short hopped nairs in place where you anticipated a certain movement by your opponent (or maybe you just messed up), but instead they waited a second and punished you. I also noticed sometimes you full jump nair and you commit to nair a bit too early, where instead you could have waited with an empyt full jump and then double jumped fast fall to counter a movement or waited to sweetspot the nair.

2:22 game 2 of eggm vs jman round 3 winners. You nair and jman spaces a retreating laser in your face and then *should* have had the grab on you because you sidestepped as a reaction to misspacing your nair. You were put in a disadvantaged position in that instance and again at 2:29 with the full jump nair. Every time you commit to an offensive nair so blatantly against fox (especially jman) you will be at a disadvantage versus a camping option. You seem to use pure offensive consistantly and a defensive option to space away and counter will have you beat a lot of the time. Since you rely so heavily on offense, jmans campy nature gives him an automatic advantage against you.

Game 3 of the same set: towards the end you were just chasing jman around with nair and dash attack. Although jman didn't capitalize on everything, you were basically playing right into his hand. 2:53 explains pretty well how jmans reactive defense punishes even the smallest of offensive mistakes.

I didn't really notice these things originally from matches posted but from personally playing against you. I'd watch more videos, but you honestly don't need help from me.

He's giving legitimate advice. There's no need to be mean to him :\

Eggm - basically I was gonna say the same thing S&S said. I really like your Fox's style of play in most matchups, because you play real aggressive and it's effective and fun to watch ( especially you and Tim in teams ;P ) but sometimes you just fall right into your opponent's traps.

Now against a player like Jman, I don't think playing defensively all the time will work, as he's extremely good at it. Just focus on not getting frustrated and remember that as good as he is, you have all the same attacks and move just as fast. Just gotta outsmart him, and make sure to capitalize on all his mistakes since he won't make many. Don't miss little things; a lot of times Fox players will do uthrow -> uair when they could just as easily do uthrow -> bair or nair and set up an edgeguard. Edgeguarding is key in Fox dittos.

Against other characters, remember that you have the best mobility in the game. Use the stage to your advantage, and always have an escape option. When you commit to something and it fails, it's a lot worse than when you're just throwing out lasers from a safe distance.

That said, keep in mind this post is all opinion so don't take it to heart. Your Fox is really good, and it's effective and fun to watch. Just refine a few small things and I think you'll be fine.

I played with my friend stric 9 yesterday. I was using some of S&S's advice and had abnormally beast tech skill for no reason and I think it was the most flawless fox ever played. Wait till the vids come online. I was doing death combos with waveshines out of shield to start them and powershielding like 70% of his lasers and Not committing with nairs and stuff and doing really good punishes. God mode was on lmao.

Lol no Tim. For some reason, I can't put up any of the matches anymore, or any vids for that matter. They would show up great on easy cap, but when I try to put them up on Youtube, it's just a black screen. So you're just gonna have to get the tapes, or just wait til I get another capture device.
