I mean seriously, it's never been a problem before but since my opponents play against Peach (aka me) religiously and I play against them all the time, they know just about everything Peach can throw at them and I seem to be getting shield grabbed more and more everyday

Bair can be easily shield grabbed by some characters if you ram into your opponent and fall down but the fact is that I'm getting shield grabbed from my Fair very frequently these days and it's annoying me to no end these days since when I watch videos of other Peach's, they seem to get away using Fair on shields unpunished

By far the biggest problem is that when I hit the opponent with my Fair I end up getting grabbed during the dead time of Fair when I'm still in the air. Jabbing their shield equally doesn't seem to work and I end up getting grabbed whilst I'm trying to jab my opponent

Another rather large problem is that when I'm trying to use Fair or SH Dairs or any other aerial, people are running at me, running almost underneath me, shield the Fair/aerial and then grabbing me which works since they're fairly close. It's very frustrating indeed

Bear in mind that I am having this problem on Wi Fi so please take that into account if anyone feels like helping/lecturing me. I don't seem to really have this problem offline at all. Granted my current opposition offline isn't anywhere near the skill of the people I play online (although he's gradually getting better) but I seem to blaming Wi Fi a lot for my recent getting grabbed issues and I feel that it really is messing my spacing up, espcially since the amount of whiffed Fairs (you know, the really laggy ones) I get online is huge and also that my control over Peach I feel is severly hampered by input lag but at the same time I'm wondering if I'm just doing it wrong and johning to the high heavens. I'm mainly having this trouble against small characters like MK, PKT (not Ivysaur since you can just jab her due to her laggy grab), Sonic, Wario etc. and also against DeDeDe (although most of the time I'm crashing straight into his Bair)

I would really appreciate some help on this matter (advice on improving my spacing or something to make me feel better) because whilst it's not losing me games, it's not exactly helping and it frustrates me to no end. Thanks in advance

the lag is messing with the spacing. it sounds like you're simply in grab range during the end of your attack instead of compensating and DI'ing the attack away. They could even be thinking ahead, compensating for THEIR lag, and running into you with a shield. On your screen they're still in a good range to initiate attack, but really they're close up with their shield, ready to grab. All I can offer you is to get off wifi :p

This sounds like... it. I think you're underestimating how much wifi sucks Rick.

It really, really, sucks.

You should threaten to report it. Sexual harassment charges can get people into serious ****.

It's your spacing dude. You have to bring that up some. I Bair people alot, all shorts of characters. And When done right, I can NOT, get shield grabbed. Sapce with a Fair. You just have to pratice your spacing. Here is how you can do it:

Go to training mode. and set the CPU to walk and pick FD. Space Fairs and bair while retreating and having the CPU walk to you. Swing the move as close as you can to them but don't hit them.switch it up with Fair and Bair. This helps you with spacing while moving. Not to space in place. Just swing a fair and a bair on a CPU that is not moving. And keep doing it as close as you can but don't hit them.

Do this for one week and watch a change. And yes this can help with wifi. On wifi I can still space like a god. Ask anyone who has played me on wifi, I space as if I am playing offline. Peach is too godly for brawl.

Well I play you often with Sonic. So it's not really spacing , to be honest, I just punish you for them becasue I see them coming.

I guess I can't tell you anything new since everyone else has said the same thing. I guess it's spacing, you won't get shield grabbed out of your dair though obviously. You probably already know this, but jabbing right after an fair makes it hard for you to get grabbed. If nothing else works, try ending your fairs closer to the ground to limit some of the dead zone time.

About jabbing getting shield grabbed, try jabbing once and then grabbing them first. It would be harder for them to react to only one jab.
