LOL

Post of the day.
I'm going to open recruiting for the Ice Climber Metagame Advancement Panel that is part of the Smash Lab.

We need one more member that's willing to learn how to frame test as well as learn computer programs for moveset data. The current members of the panel are Guest/Gfang/Hospes/Guestsnowflake and E_Alert.

If that at all interests you, let me know :)
I dont really think anyone else is up for it though lux. I would, but I dont have the patience for it.

I only play smash competitively.
What would everyone do if I won apex?
I'm not going, nor do I think I'd pass first round of amateur brackets, but...
What if! Dundundunn

Eventually yeah.
But that would take us into religous debate.
And I'm not doing that on a forum.
Chatroom, yes.
Plus I have no respect here, so my say wouldn't mean much, even if I were a religous theologian who reads theology books for fun.

Eh, it wouldn't have to, someone could easily drag nuclear arms shenanigans into how the world would end.

I think I might have stumbled onto something fascinating and incredibly broken. I'm going to have to test it a bunch on Fino though next time he's over to play.

I'll also be posting a thread on desync 4 and Fino Desync 1 and Fino Desync 2.

Same could be said of your own post. Your point?
...
I thought so.
Some people may agree with that.
But I don't, so I would defend my religion being Christianity, and say what our belief of the end of the world is.
Alot will disagree with that here, so we'd go into debate no matter what.
Which I don't want to do.

Is any other IC player other than me bummed out about the impending release of the new Smash? I've heard that Brawl's release killed the melee scene for about a year before some people went back to melee, and if that pattern repeats itself when Smash IV comes out, we might be looking at < 1 year left of a popular Brawl scene (if Nintendo's more-or-less accurate about the release date of the next Nintendo system, and if Smash IV is a release game, which seems likely).

Given that we've all sunk so much practice into building IC tech skill, I'm horrified at the prospect of it all going down the toilet so soon. I didn't realize the next gen systems were so soon on the horizon :-(

(I didn't play ICs in melee. Did melee IC tech skills transition nicely to Brawl, or was it a rough transition? Just curious, because I know the transition to the next smash is going to be rough enough given the fact that we won't be able to use Gamecube controllers anymore!)

I'm in the same boat as you lol

I am definitely quitting smash when the new game system comes out. Instead of focusing my productivity on Smash, I'm going to focus my productivity on grown up things like being productive :)

I will probably do the same, or find a different fighting game to start playing. Its really a toss up for me as of right now. The main thing I wanna see is how Icies will function in the next game; If they look like they'll be fun, I may continue to keep playing.

I might go back to melee. Or just quit smash.

In other news, just bought my tickets for genesis. Time for some hardcore practice with IC's, haven't played smash in over a month.

Just follow the grime...
I also recently bought tickets to Genesis. I've gone to 2 tourneys in the past 6 weeks or so, and I haven't played in between at all. Me having a life during the summer has clearly gotten in the way.

Umm, why quit? New games a fresh start. I'll play it, but just stick to brawl if I like it better. I'll try the new one tho! Not quitting smash, only game I ever loved :')

Im ****ing 19, turning 20 this September. Smash wont be out for another 2-3 years closest because Sakurai is working on the Kid Icarus game before moving on to Smash4, and game development takes a long time. So I'd be 22 or 23 when it finally comes out and every programmer and game designer will tell you that 2-3 would be the minimum for a rushed, terrible game on any system.

Most of us are going to have to move away from Smash, especially since we now know it isnt in development right now. If you wanna stay in Smash, good luck to you, because its really gonna be up to the future to take over for it.

Just imagine Smash Bros 4 IC's without me. What if they removed dash dancing from the game to simplify it for the casual gamers?

Every IC would be forced to play like Cheese circa 2010 :(

:) :) :) ;)

I've been playing smash competitively since 2003 >_> lol.

It's crazy, been going to tournaments since I was 13, and I'm now 22.

I've been playing competitively from the first day Brawl came out. I got it and found a wifi site and started from there.

Btw, everyone tell Cheese happy birthday! He's at SiiS today

I'm teaming with the most unexpected person for Genesis.

He's an IC legend.

Start guessing..go!
