^So let me get this straight:
Mink said something that a minority of people would find overly offensive for commenting his thoughts on a subject you brought up that would offend overly offend a minority of people.
You admit that you know that a majority of people do this.
That being said, it could be concluded you knowingly incited this. While Mink was simply expressing his opinion.
I don't think I've ever agreed more with one of ESAM's posts.the one that bothered me was mostly this...
"But seeing it is the fun part...for us anyway."
And you did agree with it.
Sounds like it.That's... really rude o.O
I don't like thinking about my nana kissing anyone else...
Guess I'm gay, then :/
Didn't we just establish he's gay?Alright then. Why doesn't my boyfriend like it? Tell me that.
way to go :/ you guys do know that talking to people like that is disrespectful, right?
Alright, fine. I'll say it. I'm a human being. I have a vagina, and I have boobs, and I'm still a person. I am not my gender and I am not a tool used for other people to get off. I have feelings, and I love people, and when you disrespect the relationships I've had with girls in the past, and you trivialize the love and heartbreak I felt, it makes me ****ing sick. And I want no association with people who do that.
I just wanted to come here and chat with people like everyone else. I did NOT start this, and don't try to say that I did. I'm just saying my piece, giving you all a chance to be ashamed of yourselves and apologize, then leaving if/when you change the subject again and move on without knowing what you did wrong...
And I am a HUGE Ice Climbers fan. I have been obsessed with them since I was 11 or 12, and I'm almost 21 now. I have been playing with them competitively for 6 months. I belong here, and I deserve to be treated like a member just like everyone else, regardless of my gender or sexual preference.
I have friends who are white, black, asian... doesn't make me not a racist. Me seeing all races as equal makes me not a racist.
It's the same thing.
You trivialized my only high school relationship, and a love that I had so deep that I would have given up everything to be with her, and another love that I almost moved 700 miles away to be with her. You compressed all those feelings down into, "Wow, that'd be hot to watch."
I'm trying, not for my sake, but for the world's sake, to make people realize what they're doing.
But a huge majority of people do this on a regular basis... bi girls even do it to themselves.
And I know this isn't going to make sense, just like everything else I've said, but I have one more thing I'd like to say.
If I see an attractive couple, I will sometimes think, "ooh, I'd like to see them do it." But I am not so low and piggish that I sit there and think to myself "I'd like to see a random guy and girl/girl and girl/guy and guy do it right now even if I have no idea what they look like or act like, lol." I judge by a person-to-person basis, and even if you are straight, goddamn it you should too. ):
Yes, it is, because someone came in and called a bunch of people out for being ignorant. God forbid. One thread takes a turn for the worst, and hopefully, a few people stop being bigots and start treating their fellow smashers like respectable human beings even if their gender or sexuality deviates from the overwhelming majority.
Well, I stick up for myself. If that's called 'drama', eh, whatever. I will discontinue this argument and apologize not for what I said, not for stirring things up, but for getting a bit too personal and a little hot-headed. I really want to be friends with everyone, and I want to participate in this thread. I just...stick up for myself, and I will do as I feel is right.
I understand a few jokes here and there, I'm just offended by the people who are telling me I shouldn't be arguing and ****. Enough jokes makes it serious, and I've had to deal with a lot of this in my life, and it becomes excessive very easily... I am not even angry with you. I'm angry with the people perpetuating it. I appreciate your comments and everything and I'm totally cool with you now. Now, everyone, STOP perpetuating this topic.Ayo relax. You aren't a fetish, you are a human and you are bi because of love, not because of sex, I get that. However, it is still nice to see 2 good-looking girls make-out. Does that mean I objectify bi/gay women as "Damn I went them to hook up?" Hell no, it's just nice to see.
If you accept the fact that you are bi, you should also accept people JOKING about it. Remember...JOKING! If people are discriminating against you because of your sexual orientation, that's ****ed up and you can go kill them and I'll help :D
A few people offended me with some comments about my sexuality, and I argued with them, therefore, I am suddenly a big deal.Oh my goodness. This thread isn't dead for once.
So what's all the hub-bub, bub?
I suppose I will never fit in with the community, then.Nana honestly, you need to learn to take a joke if you're going to fit in with the community. People joke around and troll each other here all the time. It isn't meant to be malicious. (At least about 95% of the time it isn't.)
The fact of the matter is, that if you had just not responded to the comments at all they would have just ended immediately. And I find the fact that Frozen is taking a stance against the trolling in this instance purely comical, as in the past he has been a HUGE troll on these boards.
Another thing I find amusing is the profuse apologizing. Because I NEVER see trolls here apologize at all. The only reason they are, is because you have a vagina. imo they are all the ones acting the most sexist/chauvinistic/etc. I'm treating you just as I'd treat any straight, white, upper middle class male. Or anyone else for that matter.
You're not single, but I highly recommend reading this, as it very clearly pertains to you, and contains some good points.

tl;dr: lrn2laughatyourself, and don't take obviously joking comments so seriously.
After a little over 4 hours of practicing:
[6:19:03 AM] DeLux: I decided that I am no longer going to trip while CGing
[6:19:11 AM] DeLux: and can now soft turn CG every character not named jiggly puff
Given that I can't CG normally so I'm breaking down how I CG and relearning everything, I might as well relearn the anti-tripping stuff along the way.
I've been saying this since late '09!I very much approve of this. The rest of us should probably do the same...
But who am I kidding?
OMGBACONENDOFTHEWORLDYOURSEXUALORIENTATIONISDIFFERENTFROMMYOWNIt really shouldn't be that big of a deal Nana. I'm a big, black, gay dude. Now watch as all the attention turns toward me. There, I've martyred myself for the sake of your further attendance on the boards.

Mission accomplished... we out.
Host house tournaments. $10 Singles/ $10 Doubles/ $5 venue. Use the venue to make money to host at bigger venues. If you're good at what you do, you can make a name for yourself and more people will start showing up to your events. Get some friends together and maybe you can alternate houses or pool money together to rent out a venue like a church or a recreation center.Bleh. Well if anyone in the Atlanta area would attend, I could have a really good free tourney. Problem is I think people like the aspect of competing for money, so no one good will show up if it's free, right? *shrug* @_@ Gah. I hate being poor.
Why couldn't you make the tourney have an entrance fee? It is normal to charge a venue fee, and it sounds like you wouldn't need to pay the venue you would be using. So why not just hold a $10 tourney with a $5 venue fee (normal prices for both) and you then use $10 from the venue fee to enter yourself, and the rest goes to helping you not be so poor. win/win. And the players wouldn't mind it at all. TO's often make money from the venue fees, especially if they host it in their apartment or something. (where they obviously don't need to pay for it) And that is pretty common place, in fact I was at one just 2 days ago in NYC.Bleh. Well if anyone in the Atlanta area would attend, I could have a really good free tourney. Problem is I think people like the aspect of competing for money, so no one good will show up if it's free, right? *shrug* @_@ Gah. I hate being poor.
Nana says no http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=303142I think Ice climbers are OP because we get two characters and everyone else only gets one.... /Discuss
