So today we learn of Super Smash Bros. Brawl's music composers. A very good treat and start!

Wait..what? You're let down!? You don't care?! How dare you! This piece of information is as good as who will be in the game! Music helps set the mood and pumps you up in certain parts of a game.... If it's done RIGHT. Last game we only had about what... 2-4 people? Now we have triple that amount! And they're all very good composers. By now, I assume you went to the official site and heard Motoi Sakuraba's arrangement of Melee's menu. Sounds quite different doesn't it? All composers have their own styles, so the final product will be very unique!

So to get a hint on how the final soundtrack may sound like, we must look into each musician's personal works.

I have created a list with a sample of most of them in case you want to listen to their style:

Akihiro Honda
Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3)

Arata Iiyoshi
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (DS) - Main Theme

Asuka Ohta
New Super Mario Bros. (DS) - Walking the Plains

Hajime Wakai
Star Fox 64 (N64) - Meteo

Jun Fukuda
Contact (DS) - Battle (it seems)

Kazumi Totaka
Luigi's Mansion (GC) - Credits

Keigo Ozaki
Project SYLPHEED (Xbox 360) - Mission 1 (I think)

Kenichi Okuma
Götzendiener (PC) - Graveyard Labyrinth

Kenji Ito

Romancing SaGa Minstrel Song(PS2) - Prelude of Fight

Kenji Yamamoto, Minako Hamano
Metroid: Zero Mission (GBA) - Brinstar

Kentaro Ishizaka

-Can't find any... New guy me thinks-

Koji Hayama
Ape Escape 2 (PS2) - Monkeys on Parade

Koji Kondo
Super Mario Bros (NES) - Overworld

Masaaki Iwasaki
MOTHER 3 (N64...yes, the canceled one) - Tatsumarii Village

Masafumi Takada
Killer 7 (GC, PS2) - Where Angels Play

Masato Kouda
Monster Hunter (PSP) - Awakening

Michiko Naruke
Wild Arms Alter Code-F (PS2) - The Power to Fight

Motoi Sakuraba
Mario Tennis (N64) - Tournament 1st Match

Noriyuki Iwadare, Takahiro Nishi
Grandia (PS2) - Main Theme

Ryoji Yoshi-tomi (It sensors for some reason)
WarioWare Inc. (GBA) - Main Theme

Seiji Momoi
Meteos (DS) - Opening

Shogo Sakai

Super Smash Bros. Melee (GC) - Targets!

Shota Kageyama
Luminous Arc (DS)

Tomoko Sasaki
NiGHTS (Saturn) - Mystic Forest

Toru Minegishi
Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii, GC) - Hyrule Field (worked with Koji Kondo)

Toshiyuki Sudo
Everyone Votes Channel (Wii)

Tsukasa Masuko

Magical Starsign (DS)

Yasufumi Fukuda

Murder Princess (Anime OVA)

Yasunori Mitsuda

Chrono Trigger (SNES) - Main Theme

Yoko Shimomura

Kingdom Hearts (PS2) - Hand in Hand

Yuka Tsujiyoko
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (GC) - Ike's Resolution

Yusuke Takahama
-Can't find any-

Yutaka Iraha
Bomberman Generations (GC) - Bombs Away (worked with Shohei Bando)

Yuzo Koshiro
ActRaiser (SNES) - Peaceful World

Whew! That took longer than I thought!

This list is to help you get familiar with each composer's style and skills.... If everyone gets to do a original piece to the game... then will have one hell of a soundtrack!

One last thing. Just because the composer is there DOESN'T MEAN IT RAISES A SAID CHARACTER'S CHANCE, NOR DOES IT CONCLUDES THAT SAID CHARACTER IS IN BRAWL.

Hmm, I wonder if the composer list is some kind of sign that some of the characters from games we weren't expecting too much will go in the game *cough* ChronoTrigger *cough* :)

This is exciting, I can't wait till this game comes out.

I'll have a look RIGHT now. But since it has become a pretty habit, I will go ahead and tell everyone to take the games listed with the composers with a grain of salt, because they're probably only for reference to show what games they composed for and make people go "wow i know that game that soundtrack rocked".
Proof being the person with a Flipper game listed and the one with Grandia only, as Grandia appeared almost exclusively on non-Nintendo consoles, with the one exception being a cheap, unpopular game for the GBC.

On to the music!

Well, you know, seeing as how many people have started threads about this, it may actually be an intended clue. There obviously is something in that news article that lets people think that these composers will raise certain characters' chances of being included.

Whether that is the case or not, it may be intended to sound like this and therefore be a clue.

Yes, that is exactlt how I feel too!
I've never seen so many composers ever! Sakurai must know that music can make or break a game!

He only did the Main Theme for SSBB. He wasn't included in the list. We don't know if he's still part of the team, though he said he wanted to do more....
He should do more. I listened to one of his pieces on FFXII and it was awesome. it was really strong and stuff like that. If he wants to do more, let him do more..good grief lol

All I am saying is this:

Music composers...

Give us one HELL of last boss battle song...

I want this to rival the epicness of the battle with Giygas from Earthbound

The musical genius of Killer 7

Mainly? Trump Giygas theme.

That is all.

I can't stand FD anymore. the song lost its luster...

I'm amazed on how much standards SSBB will go to be the #1 Wii game ever.
All of these Musicians are incredible!
This is like the first time I ever seen a Composer for a Sony Exclusive game work on a Nintendo Exclusive game.

Oh man, the sheer number of amazing composers working on this game is just insane. Nobuo Uematsu, Yoko Shimomura, Kenji Yamamoto, Koji Kondo, Noriyuki Iwadare, Tomoko Sasaki. This basically covers all of the legendary video game music since video games were first concieved. I'm especially excited for Uematsu, Shimomura and Sasaki (Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and NiGHTS, respectively.)

Now all we need is a title theme by Crush 40. Ehhhhh? Ehhh?

One of the only worthwhile topics made about Dojo's relaunch. I hope you don't mind if I posted your initial post as part of our smashbrawl.com blog, seeing as how it's a very useful resource.

It's just up to us. Scav had Unstuck several topics in anticipation of the site relaunching, so once he puts those back up, I'll see about this one too. This is a really handy resource.

Go ahead... but note it's not finished yet. I still have two more to add... but i might not find them anyways, so it's okay I guess.

It would be awesome if they were to release a collector’s edition to the game, that was accompanied with all sorts of goodies and a complete sound track to the game - massive!

I'm asking some friends for help with a song by Yusuke Takahama...

They may or may not pull though, and it may take a few days even if it does. So don't rely too much on it. I just though I'd say I haven't given up.
Cool, thanks man. I have no idea where to start to look for this guy!
