I'm off work thursday so I thought I would have a smashfest. I can have about 10-12 people. I need set ups and surge protectors. Bring some money for pizza/other food.

Critical Hit is this Saturday and everyday is valuable to me so I won't be able to come to this unless there's at least 1 Brawl set-up.

That has nothing to do with it. First of all, I don't like Brawl like that. Second of all, I don't care if Brawl Bowser is better. I still like Melee Bowser more. Lastly, Melee has way more of a fun factor than Brawl.

I love Melee and I love Brawl. When I play Brawl too much I wanna play Melee and when I play Melee too much I wanna play Brawl so I wanna play both. If I come it'll be like 8 or 7 oclock or something cause I have work then I gotta work out and run and crap. I'll call you first JFox to see if ya'll still playing.

Life is annoying, staying in shape sucks and full time work is even worse. I'm bout to try to win the lottery, lol!!

Playing Brawl practically puts me to sleep, it's just so boring. Only good part about Brawl is that it has wifi so you can play a human whenever.

This is the worst attitude ever. Melee is about getting better, learning, pushing yourself and testing your skill against the best. Brawl is ******** and only about winning so you can get money. There is no love for that game.

p.s. I just found out about this 5 minutes ago but I might try to stop by, I'm gonna have to get in touch with Cheezit, maybe I can drive to him and he can finish it off. Depends on how close everyone is.

I just want to say how disappointed I am in this community. So many people talk as if they like melee, but when it comes down to it, who is actually play this game anymore? I asked almost every melee player to come to this smashfest. Most of you could have came to. But who's really playin this game anymore? I used to, without trying, get 10-15 people to come over for smashfests.

Yesterday I had Andre, Deathknight, Mikeman, John, HBK, and DJ nintendo. Thats it. DJ didn't get here until 11:00pm. John and Andre didn't get here til 12:30am. HBK cane dispite not having a car all day, and had to wait til 9 before he got a car from his parents. Mikeman left at 2am, and has a 75min drive home.

What were the excuses I got from the people that "love" melee? Its too far a drive, I don't feel like it, I'm doing other things. Everyone misses melee, but no one wants to play.

**** that. I'm done holding smashfests. I just want to say thanks to those who came, and I apologize if you didn't have a good time. Blame the melee community. No one cares about melee anymore. Its a dying game, and everyone who claims its alive and kicking is just wrong.

JFox, even if it was just me and you I would've had a great time. F*ck that, we would've been beasting on Perfect Dark or Mario Kart 64 lol. I feel you completely on the matter of people saying they're coming somewhere and they have a lame a$$ excuse for not going. I went to the smashfest right after work from NY taking the NJ Transit train. Then slept over to go back to NY in the morning by train again to arrive just in time for work. All that effort was worth it. The smashfest was fun and I tried to make it better for everyone else that was there with my random jokes and stuff, lol. Get at me in teams and my godly Oreos, lol.

Yeah for real, bro. I hear what you're saying and it blows to have more setups than people but for me myself personally, I'm probably going to have a really hard time getting anywhere without having at least 2 or 3 days notice.

I'll plan the next one and make a thread if you want, and if it's successful then you gotta keep having them.
