What? All of those pokemon are perfect examples of the creativity of ghost pokemon. They have VAGUE resemblances to their inspiration. Spiritomb is not just a rock, its got a flying fire wheel coming out of it. Giratina is not just a slug, it has wings, a tail, claws grasping its neck. No ghost pokemon is going to look this obvious:

The only exception is the Rotom appliances.

CRASHiC, that haunted tree sucks. This one's so much better:

In case you can't tell, I'm joking around.

How about this?

It's sort of inspired by Sir Bedevere's ghost plant (the arms are its flowers). It probably looks more like a Mosslass though.

Looks a bit too much like Gardevoir, if you ask me. I like the concept, though; just work on the head.
You know, you're right. I thought the head looked too similar to something else, but I couldn't quite remember what it was. *back to the drawing board*

Exactly, which is why I feel like it doesn't match the stats any more. (Unless we know of any other skinny Pokemon with high HP). Maybe that dead tree is a better idea.

I think its that we're having trouble agreeing on an idea here. Some want a forest spirit, other want a dead tree....

HP: 121 - I guess it fits. Trees are pretty tough.
ATK: 55 - Maybe...it's not exactly the physical-attacking sort of tree.
DEF: 127 - Sure.
SP. ATK: 90 - Not too unbelievable.
SP. DEF: 103 - Sure.
SPD: 64 - It has little finger feet, so I guess it can crawl along.

I can try to make any adjustments that'll help it fit the stats better. (Or someone else can draw a better one :bee:)

Oh! I can see the bad Attack in that design. It looks like it wants to hug you, not hit you. :3

I'm still working on an odd design. I had a hard time coming up with a physically bulky Pokemon that didn't look like it could smash you with its own hands...limbs...yeah...

It should be done by tomorrow...

I think the Jack-o'-Lantern looks like a Digimon, tbh. I'm not bashing your work or anything, it's a great work of art; I especially like the eyes. To me it looks like it would fit better in Digimon, is all.

*jack-o-lantern*

thought i go a bit different direction for the ghost/plant...
I know I already used this idea in the SWF-Dex (and I've seen it around the net, too), but what if we made a jack-o-lantern Pokemon? It's a plant, and the Halloween/spooky aspect to it makes easy connections to ghosts and spirits. Its usually connected to Fire, but I guess this is a chance to be unique?
Ninja'd...veryyyyyy slowlyyy ninja'd.

This gets my vote until someone makes something else, because it fits the stat spread perfectly and works well with our ideal movepool. I always hated the idea of dead trees. >.> The only thing that could 1up this would be something that also works well with the abilities, since neither of them work well with pumpkins (...I've said all this before).
