DLC Job 9

Diddy Kong & Dixie Kong (Donkey Kong)

I liked the duo idea submitted earlier, so I'll go with this. DK as a franchise is more than large enough to warrant a 2nd rep, and anyone other than Diddy wouldn't feel right. Dixie is also an important character that has been heavily associated with Diddy, to the point that the duo concept was what Sakurai originially envisioned before technical restraints forced him to cut Dixie and add solo Diddy. This provides us with both an essential veteran and 1st Party character while also giving us a 1st Party newcomer that really should have been added to real Smash a long time ago. This also gives us both a unique concept from real Smash while bringing back a cut concept from Brawl's beta development.

Nemona
I think Pokemon is a big enough franchise for a second character. This will serve as an advertisement for the new at the time Gen 9. Nemona is another Pokemon trainer type character, using a team of three Pokemon. These three are Fuecoco, Quaxwell and Meowscarada. I think trainer style characters are a good way to rep this franchise. I think we should also include some more modern promotional character.

Ganon is probably the most prominent omission at this point on the roster, so I’ll vote for him here. Shulk is more of a matter of interest compared to the others as I plan on voting for Off the Hook over Diddy and Dixie Kong.

Now feels like the time to bring in some guest characters, and I do think these are two of the strongest candidates. Meta Knight also just feels like a character who would be exciting to get at this stage. Shulk is a good choice in his own right. Diddy & Dixie would have been good a couple rounds ago, but Off the Hook shoots them in the foot IMO. This roster has enough team characters... arguably way more than enough. But I'm glad that OTH was added because a pair of idols was the one that I was gonna go to bat for in base roster anyway.

same as Ultimate, but he does a trick after landing a successful hit.

Down Special: Spin Dash

Sonic shoots forward with a short boost of energy,

A diagonal trail of rings appears above Sonic, which he follows by quickly zipping upward.
