I have heard people say that Microsoft can't have a Smash Bros because there is barely any ideas for it to work. Apparently this idea is so true that Microsoft itself agrees with that statement.

Job One: I'm going to suggest Xbox EXhibition - yes, it's cheesy, but I think that Xbox is going to wind up being a focus of this anyways (though I'd love to see alternative parts of Microsoft's stuff represented here too!)

Job Two: I'm going to go the the wild-card route and suggest a moveset similar to that of Ultimate, but with three meter-based specials in place of Final Smashes, and a general focus on fast-paced movement that's still accessible to all - a sort of unholy fusion of the approachability of Ultimate and the speed of Melee.

1. X-Bout. (It doesn't mean anything but it still sounds cool I guess - plus I like that it has X in it, X is a very cool letter)
2. Microsoft All-Stars. (I think it's different enough from Smash's naming conventions to be logical, but unique.)
3. Microsoft Smash-Up. (My only potential problem is that... well... people are going to know who we're "copying"... ech, it's still a good name.)

1. Ultimate-Style. (Simple, approachable, but open-ended. It's a good way to think about that sort of moveset.)
2. Ultimate Style with Super Moves. (I would like to stress that, despite the way it's written, you can still K.O. by knocking fighters off the stage, you just have super moves instead of a Final Smash. The inability to K.O. aside from through Super Moves in PSASAR is one of the worst parts of the game and I'm not replicating that slow, arbitrary grind at all)

I know Banjo seems like a weird starter pick, but I didn't want to start off with another FPS title(Doomguy, Marcus Fenix,etc.) or another Microsoft Four title(Gears of War, Fable, Forza Horizon, Minecraft), and it also sounded right in my head

Rash is the main Protagonist of 1991 Beatem Up BattleToads game and he is is leader of mutated frog trio that fight evil alien to defeat Dark Queen while travelling through universe.
Although it revealed that they were trapped in Fantasy bunker for 26 years by Aliens and they need to defeat them.

His moveset would be taken from BattleToads games and he would be rushdown Fighter with no moveset options.
Also keep in mind that Rash would have alternative costume based on Zitz and Pimple.


Modern character:
Steve (Minecraft)

Steve is an Avatar of huge hit game "Minecraft" made by Mojang Studios and he is a blocky human that has ability to craft and build random stuff in world of Minecraft.
His game got so popular that he joined Smash because of that and his game was one of best-selling video game ever made.

He would retain moveset from Smash, but he would have some reworks in order to not copy-and-paste moveset from Smash.

For my semi-retro pick, I had a few ideas in mind - but why not start with Gex, the television-obsessed, wise-cracking gecko oozing with 90s... "charm"? He might be seen as a bit of a meme these days, but the Gex series was actually a surprising hit back in the day, and it's still remembered today! Gex was first published on Windows in 1996.

As for a more "modern" pick, or at least one that fits here, I'm suggesting Blinx the Time Sweeper. He's one of those characters that I think Microsoft tried to make into the icons of Xbox, before the Chief took over. Blinx would, nonetheless, be a pretty fun inclusion!
