Quite seriously, Erdrick has the potential to be the 'not a sword character' person in the game, moreso than even Robin

Robin actually uses his sword quite a lot, Corrin would be a better example.

Since when does a character having the same name rule other out? The announcer can simply just say Ryu Hayabusa rather then Ryu you know.

It's all stats for a single character. If it were for different forms, they would be listed as "Brave1", "Brave2", "Brave3", etc.
Or just actually labeled as the Digimon themselves.

Internal Analysis has a VERY clear meaning in development and PR talk terms and they are relatively close. It means "people involved gravitated towards this"

The thing I like with Ryu/Steve/Doomguy is we continue the trend of legacy third parties. These are characters with a ton of history behind them and fit in with the caliber of third parties we already have.

I don't even like Minecraft but Steve is a character that just needs to be in a game calling itself the biggest crossover in gaming history.

The ONLY thing keeping me from thinking Brave is Erdrick is the fact that Nintendo would be following up a JRPG character with another JRPG character.

You'd think they'd want to show a little diversity. I suppose the vastly different movesets are at thought process here, but I can still see people getting up in arms over ''Another RPG character?"
