Deltarune was only released for about 24 hours when the Fighters Pass was finalized. Undertale is on the Switch.

Dude Ralsei is so ****ing cute but I think Deltarune dropped a little late in development for DLC consideration.

On the other hand Toby did add that smash bros reference in Deltarune and he and sakurai are very cheeky people so who knows

Honestly I'm more tempted to start up a campaign for Season 2 because I doubt he's getting in at this point. Like, our only hope is Sora getting revealed at the VGAs, but even then LeakyPanda seems like they'll actually be correct for once so that won't happen.

@Calane make me feel good about getting Erdrick by telling me all the cool stuff he can do please.

If the DQ character is the one who was rejected and Sora and Geno both get in that's the best timeline. Like:

• Sora
• Geno
• Lloyd
• Steve
• Doom Slayer/Whoever

I mean, when Cloud got announced, no one saw it coming. You just got to believe anything is possible.

No I will not.

Sadly it's not even Comic Sans; it's actually Times New Roman, which it seems to default to if the font in "font='insert font here'" is invalid.

I have yet to figure out how to use Comic Sans; I have seen another user using Comic Sans if my memory serves correctly, though maybe it was actually Times New Roman as well...

Yeah, but they're not coming to Switch currently. And if per say, Nintendo wanted to maximize profit, the 3rd party character with a game also on the system with guaranteed fans and players already on board might be what they're looking for.

Again, Sakurai did meet with Takumi in 2016 during which Phoenix Wright may have already been locked in. Don't sleep on his chances fam.

Takumi was also credited in Resident Evil 2...

In all seriousness, it's not that I couldn't see Phoenix happening it's that I'd prefer plenty of other Capcom characters over him, and think that a character like Dante or Leon would make a bigger splash than he. Phoenix Wright is probably the most boring character in his game. Is that a bad thing? Not necessarily. Especially when you come from a game that's full of amazing characters but let me know when we're getting a Miles Edgeworth or Apollo Justice. Phoenix Wright, no thanks. I got him in Ultimate Marvel 3 and that was plenty enough for me.

And even if the games aren't coming to Nintendo systems now, I hate to be that guy but, that didn't stop Cloud or Snake whom, when revealed, had upcoming games on competing consoles. Snake with MGS4 and Cloud with the in limbo FFVII Remake.

Well, there was that recent (most likely fake) "leak" stating that at the VGA this Thursday we would get an echo fighter with the unique fighter, though he specifically stated the Luminary and Erdrick. He's probably just BS-ing though. But if that guy you mentioned said we'd get two Squenix characters, it could end up being a unique with an echo. Granted, I know Sakurai said "We're not talking about echoes [for DLC]", but he may have meant that we'd primarily get unique fighters and that they would be the focus of the DLC packs

I hate to be that guy but, that didn't stop Cloud or Snake whom, when revealed, had upcoming games on competing consoles. Snake with MGS4 and Cloud with the in limbo FFVII Remake.

Snake actually had his fair share of Nintendo action. Hell, Twin Snakes was playable on the Wii. And we later even got MGS3 on the 3DS.

As with Cloud, the FFVII remake was no where close to release and he was considered more a representation of the Final Fantasy series. Not to mention, now Final Fantasy VII is coming to the Switch, the original version.

Whereas Resident Evil 2 original or remake, it's absent. Not really comparable.

Phoenix Wright is probably the most boring character in his game.

Pffft! That's where the line of subjectivity comes into play. You're kidding yourself if you think Capcom or the majority of consumers have that mindset about the face of the franchise. Spring Man he ain't.

But do you know how valuable and on point Spawn's circle is outside of Smash, though? We're looking at a ****ing gold mine of inside info in the gaming industry, and most people don't know it.

And what happens when that moment of Smash Ultimate info comes and we all just listen to someone else? They were on point with the Grinch Hoax, and we all didn't listen. And who's to say that they don't know who's in? PlayerEssence seems to know one.

If you give up hope, that means Edelgard is gonna be in. Saber from Fate will be in. Granblue will actually become a reality. Worst of all... Not only T-Series and JonTron will win... but LeakyPandy will too.

Ooh! Tekken Season 2 got revealed and we got Negan gameplay footage.

Looking at Negan’s moveset, HE’S UNFINISHED AS HELL. His moveset is pretty... lackluster? For the most part, it looks like he simply swings his bat for his moveset. He doesn’t really do any punches or any normal kicks or anything aside from his bat and the occasional push kick. It’s pretty disappointing honestly. At least give him a roundhouse punch, or something like a brutal axe kick, at least a little bit of variety, heck he can even use his bat in different ways like strangling an opponent or swinging it like a baseball batter trying to do a homerun.

His animations for the most part looks pretty choppy. It’s definitely pretty rough and it’s pretty clear that he is the character that is the least finished. I’m hoping that they fix up some things before he gets released.

Aside from that, I’m surprised Tekken 7 Season 2 got released at an event today. I’m wondering how Nintendo is willing to reveal their Foghter Pass.

Not sure. Nintendo rarely repeats things they have tried even if successful.

All this talk about characters wants and hopes dying makes me realize that besides a couple of third party options that fall more into "they would be cool", my two most wanted (Isaac and Paper Mario) are basically dead. Truly a shame but I am glad at least I got a Pokémon newcomer like I asked for and even got someone cool I didnt know I wanted. I hope that if people dont get what they wanted, they get someone that they didnt know they wanted in the game instead. Good luck and try to hold on!
