Alright guys, I wanted to share this for some time but... I FINALLY TRIED SMASH ULTIMATE... twice... and it sucked.

I tried out both Roy and Ken. The game felt silky smooth, fluid, and vibrant, but I ended up losing both games. Now I’m not sure if was due to my awesome Smash skills since I did lose my 3DS version and haven’t played Smash for 3 months, but the matches were extremely hectic.

The first game wasn’t that bad, but there was still a lot of items flowing around, and I now know a bit on why the Smoke can be a problem since it does cover your view sometimes especially in an item heavy match, but it wasn’t that bad.

The second game though... oh boy. I had a little more knowledge this time and decided to start using shields and not attack blindly, this time with my boy Ken. The match was on The Coliseum from FE.

That match was so unfair. The Final Smash meter somehow had a faster fill rate, and I kept getting Final Smashed by this Incineroar player 3 times in that match (kinda ironic). Not only that but the players were all over the place and there was barely a time I was able attack without getting hit. Not only that, but it was hard for me to do Ken’s Fire Shoryuken that whole match, I don’t think I was able to pull it off once. And this other time when I unleashed Ken’s Shippu Jiranyaku on a Young Link and dragged him to the blast zone, I also ended up dying and didn’t even gain a point. This game hates me.

On the plus side, parries feel soooo good. I’m planning on trying Ultimate again, but this time I’m trying to use grabs more to deal more damage and parry more to get some more attacks in. I want to at least get a win with Ken.

All joking aside. I don't understand the high demand for Sans. He's just a side character. Not to mention, if we are getting a UT rep it's going to be Frisk. Sans isn't a main character, or mascot or anything

Um....yeah. He is a mascot.
They heavily use him and Papyrus to promote Undertale.

His face is even used for the icon of the game!

Since my first time playing Smash Ultimate will be with other people who have never played, it's nice to have some insight on how things might play out.

Wouldn't be too strange. I'd say Sans is pretty important plot-wise to the game than Papyrus, especially in the Genocide Route.

Think they're trying to say their experience sucked due to the Final Smash Meters and abundance of items. Sounds like it was too hectic for them to get properly adjusted.

The fact that literally everyone I hear from says the gameplay feels smooth though (including pros like Armada who weren't happy with Smash 4) makes me feel real relieved and excited.

This design iiiiiiiiiiis pretty damn cool, probably my favorite of the bunch if I'm being honest with my tastes.

One thing I do appreciate about this design is that they justify him being some weird barbarian when the rest of his family are properly dressed gentlemen by saying he was raised in some remote mountain village where he trained literally all the time just so he could beat up Dracula.

Speaking of Undertale, while I get why they went with the silent protagonist in that game, I really wish Kris Deltarune wasn't one. They just end up feeling like waste of space when you have these other 3 charming party members constantly interacting. It's why I'd rather have a character like Sans Undertale as his persinality would be able to represent the type of unique writing UT has the best: meta stuff that ranges from humorous to a dark decinstruction.

I just feel that while Nintendo is doing a better use of the character, they aren’t using all of their potential like they did with Megaman and the Belmonts.
