I feel like there will only be one or two DLC characters of the five that aren't a letdown, judging by Vergeben's comments. Hoping for Ninten and Louie myself, but with how they lack relevance, I don't see it happening. Tekken could get a rep though, and I think for me, assuming we don't get Banjo-Kazooie, that will be the most exciting DLC character.

It would be incredibly odd if we did not get a second Bandai Namco rep. Considering if we get another Square rep, Bandai Namco will be the only 3rd party since Wii U not to have a second rep. It makes it even more odd considering they are developing the game. I think its highly possible we will get Heihachi. Outside of Pacman he next best represents Bandai Namco.

Tbh if the next Smash isn't out until like 2025, Pokemon is probably closer to like Gen 12 or something.

Realistically, I can guarantee a gen 9 pokemon.

Since I got 2/3 of my most wanted and Banjo seems like a pipe dream at this point, I personally don't have any serious wants. If anything I'd want roster spots for Geno and Isaac because their fans have suffered too much.

Since he had a lot of support Waluigi, Isaac, probably a new Zelda rep since people have been clamoring for a new rep of some kind that isn't just link or Zelda. probably Shantae, and lastly some wild card like Q*Bert.

I think I'm leaning a little more towards Simon, as I do prefer his look a little more over Richter, but I want to compare them both before making a final decision.

Okay confession time here

I have never liked watching Smash because it always looked really slow, even Melee (and I can't deal with all the button clicking that goes on in that game).

Balloon knockback actually makes me excited watching this and this is the first Smash that I actually think looks fast.

Depends on what Capcom wants.

I still think Monster Hunter is a bit more likely given the series' popularity and the fact that Rathalos is already in the game as an assist trophy.

But based on how long the Switch will probably last, by the time the next Smash comes out, Gen 9 may be out, and they'll want a rep from the newest Pokémon. Gen 8 will be out next year, and Gen 9 will probably be out around 2022. The next Smash game may not be out until 2025, which means they'll probably go with the newest Pokémon

Basically this. Given how long it takes for a smash bros game to be made, Pokemon will be in its 9th or possibly 10th gen, and smash 6 will probably get a fighter from there. Given how Sakurai was given Lucario and Greninja early, it could even be an early gen 10 pokemon.

The King K. Rool spirit is for Kaptain K. Rool, and the Wii Fit Spirit is for the Tree pose specifically. They aren't spirits of the fighters, they're spirits of those specific things.

I feel like it could go either way. Ideally we'll know after the first dlc.

The idea of more pokemon in another smash... I think ten is enough for me. I'm all for bring back cuts if we need to keep getting new generations. Maybe between lucario, mewtwo and greninja since they feel kinda similarish.
