Almost one month has passed since release. In retrospect....

  • This is by far the best Smash ever. Like, I don't even know how they will top this.

  • Pretty freakin' good; I have a few qualms over things like internet play, balancing issues, etc.

  • It's ok, but [insert Smash game here] is better.

  • I'd rather play Parcheesi.

Except that the September Direct covered their holiday lineup already.


Unless this is going to hardcore focus on their early 2019 lineup, it feels very odd to get a 2nd General direct soo soon.

The 2 directs in a month thing only makes sense if they're going to do a last-effort push for Pokemon Let's Go. Or maybe another indie direct, but I dunno if that's very likely.

If it IS a General Direct announced today(If at all)


I completely expect what they did in the November 2015 Direct:




Reveal a character and then give a "SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT" to a date for the final Direct later in the month.


Said reveal may or may not break the leak.

If there's no more holiday surprises, I guess that limits what could be in a general Direct. Unless there's a 2019 focus might just be for already announced titles.

Yeah. I don't think the online is improving anytime soon. Most people seem to be satisfied with it, so there's no incentive for Nintendo to take action.

I think we're done with general Directs until January 2019 at the earliest. My gut is telling me a single Smash Direct is all we're getting, meaning that we have one more opportunity for characters to get revealed.

While the September Direct did talk about some stuff in 2019, their line up heading into Spring doesn't seem like it's filled out--in addition to so many different titles that have been announced or rumored. But I think it's very likely it would have Smash. That being said, with the tournament this week, and given we already had a General Direct, my guess would have been a Smash Direct this week--though, perhaps that's wrong.

I don't understand how suddenly there are a million different inside sources on this game. Not too long ago we only really had one person we were listening to at all with any credibility. Vergeben. There was barely any talk from anyone else about sources, just lots of speculation based mostly around what Vergeben said. And now suddenly when there is a possible leak it seems like so many people have sources. Where were these people months ago? If Incineroar was being whispered into so many ears why did it take so long for anyone to actually say it was him? I find this strange and it also leads me to believe that many people are lying or have fake sources.

Now for what is probably an unpopular opinion around here. I believe Vergeben.

I also believe Gamexplain. I also believe the old Gematsu leak was true. All they have said is they heard someone (Incineroar) was in. They have not seen him and if they have they have not said so. All they say is the leak doesn't line up with what they have heard. And I believe that is true. Just like I believe the Gematsu leaker actually heard Chorus Kids and that was accurate at the time they heard it. But things change and characters are cut. Just because Incineroar was being developed doesn't mean he will be in the base game. That doesn't make Vergeben a liar and it also doesn't make Gamexplain shills. They are just saying what they believe based on what they have heard. Even the person who first leaked the ESRB picture had a question mark over Mewtwo, who was developed and just added in later as DLC. Just cause info is out there doesn't mean these people have the full picture.

Most of these other insiders with supposed sources are probably full of **** though. Or being duped. Or in the same boat with outdated info.

I'm still #TeamReal and will remain so till proven otherwise. This leak has been very exciting but it's just gotten a little crazy.

Why would that be true? I mean, there's no news about the chair stuff.. BUT IF IT IS RIGHT MA BOI SKULL KID IS IN LET'S DO THIS CONSPIRACY BOYS, REMEMBER THE BOWSER JR. BUSH? HE MADE IT, WE CAN DO IT TOO joking. I mean I want Skull Kid but... direct come soon, please.
