No one was cut from any mural.

They do not edit the mural this way, they have the background and the character renders in a photoshop file.

I thought the implication was that since the banner is in panels/tiles, they were using the wrong "mac" panel that has the "vine" bit on his shoe.
Not that they chunked it using image manipulation or anything.

Not that I believe it, but the "green" is along the tile boundary, which is what I thought the point was. Not what you're trying to imply.

Who knows, maybe I misunderstood. Haha.
Either way, it's bogus.

Duck Hunt is already the farthest character from any Grinch leak ones, and part of his tail/duck still goes in the section where Shadow is. Though Shadow is far, and the other characters are all aligned, only Duck Hunt has the glitch.
The only part of the mural that does not include leak characters is the one from Wario to Duck Hunt, but it confines with the Chorus Kids/Geno and Shadow parts.

Hmm.. on the one hand, this kind of development story sounds flipping insane. Then again, I've heard crazier that's come true. Especially with devs like Kojima and Harada that exist. I could on a slim chance, see Sakurai do this.

Granted, I'm still leaning towards Incineroar being either bait or simply cut.

You are referring to two completely separate types of compression under two completely different contexts. Also you're committing the fallacy of assuming that all people of the opposing viewpoint are using uniform arguments. I don't support the "compression" argument for the background or for this.

Everybody is just taking this one random guy at his word that the site glitched out in this way. This color does not exist in the actual banner. So the theory is literally that they have the Isaac version of the banner currently stored on their server for anybody to find if the page code just loads weird.

Multiple people observed the site glitch out that way. Unless you're implying that the dude who took that original screenshot of the glitched site that multiple people recall having happened introduced a single green pixel so that two months later he could use it to support a leak, I don't think the authenticity of it is in question.

Not to mention you're making the strange and heavily flawed implication that they can't simply remove an image from the public server once they realize it's no longer going to be used?

Well if there's anything to be announced today, it'll be 9 am in Japan in 24 minutes.

As much as I'd like to be hopeful, I'm not expecting anything until Nov 1st or Nov 8th, with the announcement being made a day or two before then.

Either way. It's still weird they were ultimately really dismissive of this leak, when they will literally do a 30 minute discussion video over an image Nintendo will release of Mario without his gloves on and what it could mean for the next Mario title.

Here they just sort of tried to Jedi Mind trick the leak away.

While your point is a good one, I think them not covering the leak is purely due to the fact that they have SOMETHING that makes them believe so strongly that it's fake they won't bother covering it, because they know it would be a waste of time. Hell Jon said he'd be willing to sit in a puddle if its real.

Really think these "Nintendo are forcing them not to speak!" theories are a bit much. And I believe in the leak.

If you look at the cuff where Olimar's glove begins in the top left, you can see the cuff is a mixture of 2 color layers: greenish on top and light grey on bottom. Pretty sure the top half of the cuff color matches the little green speck near Little Mac's foot that everyone is up in arms about.

Don't think the four pixels of green on Little Mac's shoe means much tbh.

If the characters are done as layers in a PSD, then there really would be no reason for any little bit of Isaac to be left over. If you get rid of the layer, you get rid of the layer. There shouldn't be anything left.

There's also the possibility that's it's just a mistake so tiny that it went unnoticed. Mac does use green after all.

This. Exactly this. As someone who uses Photoshop every single day at work, I can tell you anyone who knows how to properly layer anything would keep all items separate from one another. There shouldn't be any bleed of any kind on any of the characters if they were properly layered.
