Nah dead franchise. At this point Assasins Creed is more relevant and the choice of Alexios or Kassandra adds more representation for those into that type of thing.

Not trying to argue on whether Assassin's Creed or Rayman is more relevant, but a main series game in the last five years, that just got a rerelease last year, and a spinoff also hitting last year (with new content for that spinoff that launched earlier this year) does not equal a dead franchise.

While i don't think that Nightmare is really likely for base game... if soul calibur VI is a huge success i can actually see very likely a switch verison and nightmare as a candidate for DLC. and while i think that PC will be the superior version (unless they go great lenghts to make modding imposible) so far the evo SCVI event made me feel that that game will be a very fun to play, which is great for teh switch.

The game releases tomorrow and have been top and third on teh top sellers games on steam... so video related.

I thought people stopped with the whole "dead franchise" thing. I dont understand how anyone could think that Smash Bros of all series only looks for currently popular characters.

In addition, Rayman Legends isn't that old.

Metal gear solid v just came out? Final fantasy has like 18 games with no end in sight, Mega Man just had 11 released and PacMan championship edition 2 released late September in 2016. Hardly dead franchises.

I'm sure Nintendo knew behind the scenes stuff when including those fighters in

Megaman had like a gazillion collection bundles on the horizon and Final fantasy 7 is getting a remake.

This has been fun! I don't get the stress. Support your faves, laugh at bad fake leaks, be happy for people who get their picks in, and get excited for the eventual release. The fights can be more than a little silly. It helps I've been supporting a basically impossible character since the 64 days so any addition is exciting to me.

...Corrin wasn't, but that was because I had some very negative feelings about Fates at the time that the localization helped, and it also helps she's fun to play as and I like some characters in the game. So even the ones I'm not excited for I get excited for.

I don't think that a change in genre makes a game not a main series entry

Metroid Prime is still a main line Metroid game just like how RE4 is still a Resident Evil game despite both games being completely a different genre from their predecessors.

Nah like, I'm cool with it now but at the time Fates hadn't been localized and the Soleil support was very...well, not good. And that's basically all I knew. Now that I've played as Corrin and know how a friend feels about the game and I've seen the retranslated support in question it's a bit better.

It was just an underwhelming choice at the time tainted by some personal biases. I love Fire Emblem and I'm on the Anna and Celica trains even if people will get salty about more FE.
