Oh yeah, I also noticed something different that could be a big point between . Daisy doesn't have as big of a delay in the beginning on the butt bomb. I'll show a video and .gif for reference.

However, we haven't seen if Peach has the delay or has it removed like Daisy's. If it's the former, Daisy could be better. If it's the latter, both got buffed.

DLC for some of the rest of Zelda didn't happen until the 3DS port, Hyrule Warriors Legends, which itself added Wind Waker and it's DLC added Link's Awakening, Spirit Tracks, and Link Between Worlds, the original 3 DLC packs only added another TP character with Twili Midna and then Young Link & Tingle from Majora's Mask meaning character-wise base FE Warriors covered more series..HW had extra coverage through weapons and items though.

The difference is that in Hyrule's case, no one was a clone.

True..but I don't mind the clone aspect, at least everyone is fun to play in FE Warriors..I don't think anyone really liked playing Agitha..and, to me, Zant & Ruto weren't fun either.
Plus, we're kinda discussing clones positively here via Echo Fighters, which is essentially being done for the exact same reason as the clones in FE Warriors, being more characters with less time.

Yeah but HW also had everyone be completely unique and had DLC to represent everyone else.

So far, Fire Emblem Warriors seems like it's far worse as a fan-service package, especially considering Hyrule Warriors came out years before.

DLC to represent other series didn't come until a 'Season Two' type thing, the original three packs only gave us Young Link and Tingle from MM, if FE Warriors had been given a Season 2, it may have spread out more as well.

Yeah, but here's the thing with that. Most Zelda games share characters between them or all the most popular characters come from 1 or 2 games with the others being rather deep cuts. They had the chance to go full fan service blowout with Fire Emblem across 13 different games and they only chose to bring two characters from anything that wasn't FE1, Awakening, or Fates. And neither of them were Ike. The single most popular character in Fire Emblem wasn't included.

I mean **** dawg, I wanted to play as The Black Knight, Eliwood, Roy, Hector, Ephraim, Elincia, Hector, Greil, etc. but they limited themselves to hell. The game was an incredible disappointment for me. No, Lyn and Celica doesn't make up for the fact they neglected 75% of the other FE games.

Have you seen the Warriors Orochi Games? There's literally hundreds of characters in each one of those games. The excuse that it would've been difficult for them to reach out to other games because there is so many is a poor excuse. Warriors Orochi pulls from Samurai Warriors, Dynasty Warriors, Legends of Troy, Blade Storm, Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive, and a couple more that I can't even think of right now. Pulling from more than just 3 being too much to ask is just incorrect considering Omega's tendency for fanservice. There was really no excuse to leave all those characters out except for them trying to get the game out as fast as possible, which honestly just made the game feel cheap to me. Fire Emblem Warriors is "Missed Opportunities and Disappointment The Game"

Anywho, the reason I actually want Black Knight and, more so, Hector in Smash is because of how much they neglected the old fans in Warriors. Now we got to depend on a completely different franchise to get our fanservice from.

Not really, only Link, Toon Link, Zelda, Toon Zelda, Impa, Ganondorf, and Tingle have appeared in more then 2 games. Even Sheik, despite designs unique to Brawl/3DS/Wii U, HW, and SSBU, only appeared in one Zelda game, same goes for Darunia, Ruto, Midna/Twili Midna, Agitha, Zant, Fi, Ghirahim, King Daphnes, Medli, Marin, Ravio, and Yuga while Young Link, Skull Kid, and Tetra each have 2 (unless counting TP's different Skull Kid enemy).

As for not choosing more from the others, it's likely due to not wanting to have to put in every Lord, most of which use swords, in an already obviously sword heavy game and be allowed to use not just the main characters in general.

I'm honestly just glad Lyn got to shine for once, Ike & Roy already have Smash and are very likely picks for the possible sequel. I do admit though, Hector would have been awesome..hopefully he'll get to be the "Lyn/Celica" for the next game, since I doubt it'd be a focus game if Roy's is chosen.

Trust me though, I understand, I really wanted Eirika, still one of my faves, and Nephenee.

As for the Orochi style games, it's easy for them to have a ton of fighters, most of the characters already have finished movesets from previous games to pull from, FE Warriors does not.

I also feel, gameplay-wise, that FE Warriors is superior to Hyrule Warriors..especially it's History Mode & Leveling being less tedious in HW.

Only because they wanted him to be..seriously, the one sour point of Uprising was having a cool female villain upstaged by yet another male villain..one that honestly had no ties to Palutena, Pit, or was really hinted at.

No worries on Classic Sonic. Sonic's moveset is almost all Classic moves to begin with. Only his Homing Attack(thanks to the change to the Modern games since Unleashed, as the original version was still pretty much how the Sonic 3D Blast Homing Attack worked, though it was more based upon the Adventure version, but still, the difference wasn't that much anyway) and Down Air are Modern-related as is. He was focused more on his Classic and memorable playstyle, though obviously his body is more Modern-like.

That, and Classic Sonic also is much smaller than Modern Sonic, in the same way Toon Zelda is much smaller than regular Zelda. But yeah, Shadow would fit way better(as would Metal Sonic) as a Sonic Echo.

Unfortunately, no.
Judging by certain artists and communities I won't name, there are people who derive pleasure out of seeing such things unabashedly and without shame so...
(My question is why would people even draw or pay for that much for that type of content. Especially the latter. For someone who's trying to become more actively posting art on social media I can understand why some people take some...odd requests, but there has to be boundaries.)

Yeah, I can get behind that. I just wish that some of her attacks would reflect the...reflective nature of Lorule compared to Hyrule, so inverting the effects of some attacks would be cool to see like someone mentioned earlier. But she'd be neat to see regardless.
I might be biased given ALBW is one of my favorite Zelda games soo.

I believe it's Porky, hence all the pig imagery in Mother 3.
I think right now we're at 11 villains in total, if you count Dedede.
Also try to avoid double posting, that's a no-no around here.

She got scrapped, to be clear. Cut implies they were already part of the previous roster, but she wasn't.

That was true. Most of the DLC didn't come until the 3DS port. But truth be told, i think HW's sampling of characters was handled better.

I was more disappointed mostly because of the exclusion of Ike.

Like, I get it. You're focusing on Fates and Awakening, and giving FF7 and FF1 characters the backseat. Fine. But if Lyn was able to make it in, I don't really see why Ike couldn't make it in as just an exclusive FE9 character. It just...bogles my mind.



And sorry to say, but I wouldn't have bought the game on the /promise/ of DLC. I would bought the game when they finally add Ike in.

The thing that would be tricky about Medusa as a Palutena echo would be the wings and shields. However, as with Daisy, they've shown that they're willing to take creative liberties to make them work. I could easily imagine them giving Medusa glowing black wings to copy Palutena's smash attacks and maybe trading out her Bair and Dash Attack for something else. But then again, those two moves are the best reason to play Palutena, imo, so maybe they ought to just give her a shield as well.

It was suggested in the Medusa thread that her head snakes dash out to cover the wing hitboxes instead. Removing the shield and invulnerability while increasing the damage of bair and dash attack makes Medusa a less defensive version of Palutena's playstyle too.

To be fair, Peach Bomber's been getting faster every game so far. It's more likely a buff for both of them, in Smash 4 that move was consistently useful in closing the gap between Peach and the opponent.

I like that combination of the modern look with classic moves, though I also like the classic look and feel he could draw a bit more from his classic incarnation move-wise. I'm personally not a fan of the "Dr. Mario" style of clone where it's essentially the same character (Modern and Classic teaming up aside--guess it is canon now). Though, Dr. Mario and Dark Pit get a pass as they were grandfathered in. Dark Samus is the limit I can have with those types of clones, as it's technically not the same character despite sharing the name.

I'm personally hoping for Shadow, though I'm worried he won't have that many chaos control aspects, even in his final Smash--I'm preparing myself for disappointment as I think it might be Super Shadow--hope I'm wrong!

Here's a topic, take a current echo and say how you would Luigify them in the next Smash game.

To start, Dark Samus: replace Missile with summoning an echo to fly forwards, the two then converge, back at the start is the opposite or neutral direction is held, where the echo is if the direction is held.
