6.rhythm heaven rep / elma (im unsure i think they both have good chances but the assumed amount of remaining roster spots feels too tight to fit both)

theres a few other possible picks im thinking have a shot: heihachi or lloyd for 2nd namco reps/gen 7 pokemon (incineroar most likely) if the gardevoir leak im banking on turns out wrong/banjo kazooie/rayman... the thing with all of these characters is they fit comfortably as DLC choices so im thinking that while they have good chances to get in the game, they fit better there than in the base roster (which i assume isnt too many more). of course i also think other characters have a good shot at DLC such as rex and pyra/spring man etc...

anyway this is where my mind is for characters right now (my mind changes a lot tho with new info or just how im looking at the potential roster).

if i add in what echo fighters i think are likely it gets more complicated, i think its tougher to guess at the echos as how many more we'll get and who will get in over who is just really hard to guess at. for instance shieks final smash is more "sheikah" themed so im thinking impa while zelda was redesigned in a way hilda works as an echo, and i dont think we'll get both. isabelle seems super likely as an echo same with dixie. shadow and ken feel like they are the most deserving and still able to happen third party echos so im guessing they are in. gothitelle if im going with the gardevoir leak. octolings i feel arent going to happen, maybe as dlc, just trusting my gut here for a few not really solid reasons (they have amiibo coming out the day of smash i find it odd if theyd be getting smash amiibo, plus theyd mean MORE ink colors on the stage...i dunno just thinking they arent in). medusa i was thinking could happen but we have castlevanias medusa appearing and it just might be odd to have both, obviously doesnt deconfirm her i think she has a high chance but if i have to guess at say 6 more echos she often is bellow other likely echos. i think funky kong is unlikely because dixie has such a good chance and i just dont see both happening. louie or ninten or black shadow im doubting but they are probly the other three that are on my radar for echos...

yeah this is pretty much my thoughts on the final roster, right now at this moment anyway.

I actually like Lycanroc a little more than Incineroar, but recently iv'e felt Incineroar has better chances (also starter bias).
I think Dusk Lycanroc (being a mix of both) has the best chance of the Lycanroc to get in. But assuming it was too late for the party which Lycanroc do you think will? I think Midnight Lycanroc personally, simply because it's upright. Yes, they could work around the holding items thing but it'd be a little less effort to go with the bipedal one.

I have a feeling Sakurai might go crazy and make a stance fighter using both forms (and have a Dusk alt). The fact that Lycanroc has multiple forms it can use with roughly the same moveset would make it easily stand out by having Midday as a faster but weaker stance and Midnight as a stronger but slower stance, both with the same moveset with the exception of their signature special move and different way of using a similar playstyle.

I may have slight bias but that’s how I want Lycanroc to be.

K. Rool didn't show up in Smash 4 because he stole Pokémon Trainer's travel plans and had a nice vacation in Hoenn.

Here's what I'm thinking we're looking at for the rest of the base game's roster.

68 - Gen 7 Pokemon (One of Incineroar/Tapu Koko/Necrozma/Rowlet)
69 - Skull Kid
70 - Isaac
71 - One of Rhythm Heaven Rep/Bandana Dee/Elma/Rayman
72 - Geno
73 - Banjo-Kazooie

16e - Impa
36e - Dixie Kong
38e - Shadow
45e - Isabelle
54e - Medusa
60e - Ken

All of these guys feel like they have legitimate arguments for being in, either due to the ballot, parts of the surviving leaks, or some combination of both. Even Banjo and Kazooie have things going for them if Verge's Minecraft stage leak holds true. I find it hard to whittle the list down further than this, aside from maybe clipping 71, but even then I feel like at least ONE of those four is going to make it. Maybe Banjo could get pushed back to be DLC instead, but I'm just feeling like they're too perfect to be this game's last reveal.

You know what this game desperately needs? Special orders.

Right now we have a classic mode that, while amazing, does not have any random elements, as well as a story mode that is probably the same every time as well. It's missing a really randomized experience, and that's what special orders was perfect for. Not to mention it's one of my favorite smash modes of all time: it wouldn't be ultimate without them. And honestly? I'd love to see it expanded on, too.

Master orders: Like before, except if you win enough consecutively then master hand will challenge you, his difficulty scaling with how hard the challenges you beat were.

Crazy orders: Like before.

Tabuu Orders: You will be given extremely difficult challenges to choose from by Tabuu. For example, you might be asked to fight Dracula while also fighting 2 Charizards, or you'll be asked to face 3 metal opponents who are all on the same team. If you successfully beat 8 in a row, then you fight Tabuu.

Master/Special Orders definitely are some of the Wii U modes that I want to play, so I’m hoping it comes back in Ultimate.
