Game 1: Banjo & Kazooie (as cool as Yooka & Laylee are, they are inspired from Banjo & Kazooie; this wouldn't even be a suggestion if they had put him in Melee to begin with)
Game 2: Black Mage (Shadow is cool but he'd be a semi-clone of Sonic)
Game 3: Arle Nadja (Jade would be interesting but Arle Nadja would be a more important inclusion)
Game 4: Marina Liteyears (I would prefer a sense of optimism in characters and Marina is much more colorful and vibrant)
Game 5: Phoenix Wright (personality over no personality)
Game 6: Zero (keep those Rabbids away from Smash)
Game 7: Tails (no contest)
Game 8: Solaire of Astora (Dark Souls would be a cooler thing to have represented)
Game 9: Shovel Knight (no contest)
Game 10: Maxwell (I played Scribblenauts in middle school and I think Maxwell could bring something interesting to the table)
Game 11: Klonoa (fits the aesthetic better)
Game 12: Lloyd Irving (this was a tough call but Lloyd is just a standout character)
Game 13: Shantae (no contest)
Game 14: Quote (fits the aesthetic better)
Game 15: Professor Layton (I grew up with Professor Layton and he's a great character)
Game 16: Ryu Hayabusa (AWESOME NINJA FOR THE WIN)
Game 17: Rayman (no contest)
Game 18: Agnès Oblige (Conker is a little crass for my tastes)
Game 19: Crono (personality over no personality)
Game 20: Goemon (moveset would be less restricted)
Game 21: Simon Belmont (I would want a Castlevania rep over a 2nd Final Fantasy rep)
Game 22: Jibanyan (a more important inclusion)
Game 23: Sora (no contest)
Game 24: Nightmare (don't care for either so I went with the one with a proven legacy)
Game 25: Crash Bandicoot (I grew up with Crash)
Game 26: Knuckles (no contest)
Game 27: Spyro (no contest)
Game 28: Travis Touchdown (as much as I love Super Meat Boy, Travis Touchdown would bring more to the table)
Game 29: Bomberman (more important of an inclusion)
Game 30: Jack Frost (fits the aesthetic better)
Game 31: Dr. Eggman (Steve is made of blocks... how do you even implement a character like that?)
Game 32: Chun-Li (more important of an inclusion)
