I wonder if people are any interested on this tourney because participation here is way too low.

We found a location, which can be used for two days. Now all we need are the TV's. We should try and get all the TV's we can from friends and relatives, but maybe if we don't find enough of them, we can borrow some from some kind of a shop. I'm sure that's possible. Can someone help me finding one?

To be honest, I think that if anyone should host the Iberian tourney, it should be the Spanish, because they are clearly alot more experienced at hosting tournaments. :/

unfortunately i have to second this :ohwell:
At first i was really pumped for an Iberian tourney on the christmas tourney, now i am not...and the plane prices do not fall.

maybe when we organize a tournament in Lisbon we can do an Iberian cause there are more dedicated brawlers willing to take their tvs.

I have 3 or 4 more people that didn't say no about going to the tourney in porto but they might confirm it only some days before it happens. That way we can't confirm their "potential tvs".

Maybe next year we can have a week vacations in Barcelona ;)

That's what I told King Funk, save the Iberian tournament for one in Lisbon.

Also I haven't received any details about the location in Matosinhos yet...

We're aiming for 20-22nd of December, during the beginning of the Christmas holidays. Let us know if yo ucan't make it to one of those days.

Wait so when it's going to be? End of December or early January? And I'm still trying to get more details on the location... My dad is still talking to the owners of the room about it, but I think they want to know stuff like, how many people are going to be there, when is it going to be needed, for how long will it be used, etc.

Its even better if it is during the holidays to me cuz Im spending them in Benfeita (dunno if u ever heard of it). Its a village north of Santarem, which makes me closer to it.

I confirm 1 TV, minimum. Maybe 3. We just remembered that there's a TV with a portable size and we can take it for sure.

Yay, Im actually helpin ^^ lol

yay gike!!! we certainly have enough tvs for a portuguese tournament with 20 people...

@natp, i think we'll only need it for one day since now we all realise its not possible an Iberian *looking at KF*.

@Flayl, I would prefer it to be on a sunday (20) but a week day is doable too.

@South people, I can still have a group of people to stay at my house in Aveiro if you do not want to ride back south the same day as the tourney. We could do a after tourney party there to enjoy as much as you can the trip to the north :p

Would it involve lots and lots of SMASH? Because that's all it really needs imo. xD Maybe even mix it up with some melee and even some ssb64.

pretty much what Natp said... maybe "smashing" all night?!
oh i know, we can do like ptfighters did a while back (and is starting to be a tradition there)... we can go to a place eat Francesinhas to prepare for a long night.
The major problem with my house would be if we make a lot of noise, then the neighbours would warn us and we could end it there.

The fact that Nintendo in general isn't popular here is the real problem. :( Also, everyone thinking that smash is for kids, while really laughable, is a sad, sad truth.

Lool, the first time people see the game they see characters like pikachu, JIGGLYPUFF, and g&w and they immediately assume it's for kids just because of that. It's kinda ********.

I don't really see how G&W is considered childish, but smash is an "everyone" game.

It's still possible for a movie to be PG and entertaining for adults as well. Best example I've seen would be WALL-E. I heard Up is very good too.

G&W is considered in the sense that stuff from like L4D is considered mature. Not saying that g&w is childish tho, I love him. <3 But he's just a stick figure to other people. And other than people thinking that smash is childish, they also think it's not competitive, which is also incorrect. Maybe we could do like a showcase video and we should post in on Portuguese gaming sites and see if we get any feedback.
