Well on that keyboard is harder stuff, not really. The DI advantages more than like ly make up for tilting and specific angle disadvantages by a longshot and you will eventually learn to set urself up for those anyways.

If you need parental consent, get a job permit and a job, good money for your age.

"if i win that's fun"

wow, i feel sorry for any of the playdates your parents line up for you.

That reminds me of when i was young and i was winning in monopoly only to have my friend throw the board and scatter all the pieces in frustration and stomp out of the room. Dude, if you lose repeatedly over and over, it means you aren't improving. simply playing the game would make you improve just through simple experience. whenever i meet my match and get beaten, it gives me my incentive to play more...

it hurts my head to try to talk reasonably to children.

I would own if I had a controller, not lose horribly.
You guys have to realize that the reason we play SSB in the first place is to have fun.
If I win, that's fun.
When you finally own a controller will you stop using Autofire? I bet not... because you're saying you definitely need Autofire to win or else you're nothing but fresh meat for the lions, you say losing is not funny and it'll only frustrate you to the point that you'll quit smash, so you want to win no matter how, to "have fun", if the game is funny you keep playing it don't you?

But unfortunately, you've picked the wrong people to play using your "strategy" as a key for victory, because we think playing honestly is worth, getting beat by someone who's skills are way better than our own is worth, try to improve to finally overcome that other guy who usually five stocked me is worth, that my victory is worth if i can achieve it using my own effort!

We play smash for fun, but there's also the competitive part in which more than one of us have tried to to make a place for himself along side the best players or at last being accepted by them as a good SSB player because of your own effort and skills .

If you use Autofire to win because is fun then go ahead, keep doing it. Smash is for fun... but once you want to start playing competitive Smash using your actual "ways to victory", you'll just be known as a lame cheater.

What's generally accepted online are tournament rules. That means all stages, all characters, and no items, hence the gameshark cheats. If you went to a tournament in real life, and used autofire, you'd be chucked out. It's giving yourself an unfair advantage over the other person. If you say "Then keyboard is cheating", the benefits from a keyboard over a controller are much less than the benefits of autofire.

Except I'm not playing in the highly competitive league of smash. So if you lose to me then it is not a big deal either way. I haven't started playing "competitive smash". Autofire isn't going to mean a thing if you have better mindgames. Sure I won't like it if somebody says they are better than me when they get beat repeatedly, but it doesn't matter since I had the pleasure of beating them in the first place. Or losing, in which case I will have to get better. Eventually I won't have to use autofire to execute normally keyboard-free combos. It is plausible but not efficient to use rapid fire with a controller. Think of how many buttons one has. And don't say there are controllers other than the N64 with more buttons since those cost more and are not an option. I am allowed to use autofire to have fun.

You ARE allowed to use autofire to have fun, yes. However, everyone ELSE wants to have fun, too. You using autofire takes away from their fun.

Eventually I won't have to use autofire to execute normally keyboard-free combos.
That's not true at all. If you keep using autofire, you won't be able to learn what it's like without it. Everyone who played smash learnt through doing. It's impossible for you to do this, if you're not doing it.

Three goals when playing:
1. Play for fun.
2. Play to improve.
3. Play to win.

Usually you're doing all 3 of these when you play. Though depending on the circumstance (friendly game, tournament, whatever), you usually focus on one goal more than the others.

Using any sort of crutch (autofire) really hinders goal #2: playing to improve.

Except it doesn't. With autofire you can only improve so much. You need to be good at predicting your opponent, and that is more influential than any combo or key modifier. Of course it is beneficial to play without N-Rage's plugin, but using it makes goal #s 1 and 3 much more plausible.

Actually, I think the only reason why you use the autofire is because you have to win the games you play. Not because of the fact that it's "fun" to win, but because of the fact you can't take the fact that you lose.

I'd rather lose all my games than use something to enhance my gameplay to help me win.
and as for the fact that you get irritated when you lose means you dont really know what it means to "play this for fun"

That is one of the most absolutely false assumptions I have ever heard.

If the opponent is a good sport and says gg or says something like you did well then I know they were better than I was and don't mind learning from them. When they say nothing or say PWNED that is when I get angry. Most of the time the latter happens and this is why I want to win. They usually say good game after I do.

It wasn't really an assumption..............it's actually a fact that you can't take a loss so you do whatever you can just so your character is out front and it says " _______ won" after the game. If I played like that, I'd use autofire and pick Ness or Kirby every game and play as gay as possible.

It's really sad when people let trashtalking losers get to them......but I admit they make me angry too. You just have to realize that they're a pathetic excuse for a person and need to insult others to boost their sorry ego (Like Tigerbombz or zTrigger who I think is Tiger).

The problem I have with your attitude is that you want to win at any cost because you can't take the trashtalk or not seeing that win screen. A good player knows if they played well and lost to some gay playstyle or better character that they did what they could. When you play someone you can tell probably within a stock or two who is really the better player regardless of character. If I know I'm better I don't care if I lose and just try to make a note of my mistakes. If I think they're better, then I try to learn from them and improve my own playing.

Except I know how to play Kirby as gay as possible and I don't use him. Even a comment like "try harder next time" would be helpful. And anyway I can probably beat a number of people playing normally now since I have acquired some mindgames along the way. If they beat me and am a good sport then I acknowledge that they are better and will try harder to beat them next time. If they do that then of course losing is fun because then there is room for improvement. The room is tangible, not intangible like malva's might be since he doesn't have peers in Kaillera and only a few peers in the world. So losing is still fun in the way that you can improve after your loss.

Being good at predicting your opponent doesnt depend on autofire , this is mindgame.
goal #2 isnt optional in such a situation.

actually you're just pissed off that people tell you "PWNED" thats why you want to win , and have "fun" seeing people losing and saying "gg" ,am I wrong?

you seem convinced about the fact autofire made you improve, you'd be surprised once you play without it.

So you think autofire is fun. Good for you. No one's going to say "zomg u think teh autophire r teh phun! n00b!" But we want to have fun too. To most of us here, in the vast majority of cases, playing with autofire=boring. So you want to have autofire. We don't want to play someone using autofire, just like how we don't want to play someone using gameshark cheats. Something's gotta give, and I'm afraid that you're vastly outnumbered.
