I actually find this really aesthetically pleasing and "tasteful" - moreso than any special 3DS I've seen N' release anyway. I'd prefer if there were no smash logo at all - even better if the entire back area was covered in wall-to-wall black and white character art. But it's nice as is.

That all said, I'm sticking with my blue 3DS xl, for the afore-mentioned sticker-on-binder phenomenon. (Age has nothing to do with it, but it's been a good 16 years since I even had a binder to decorate with stickers, and I feel no burning desire to revisit that bit of nostalgia.)

I just need news on what other retailers are doing this, if any. The Nintendo UK Store does not ship to the Republic of Ireland, which is ****in' crap because they ship to Northern Ireland. It's literally all the same tiny land mass and it's not like there are any restrictions on them for getting stuff down a few counties.

The ONLY reason why I did not buy a 3DS XL so far (and stuck with my 4 year old normal 3DS) is because I was waiting for THIS!
A Smash-themed one with the game pre-installed and a cool motif :3

The design certainly met my expectations, but hopefully it will have some special decoration/emblems elsewhere too and not just the backside of the top screen (if the front sides of the 3DS are in one single color like simple red then I will be disappointed)

Still I'm definitely buying it :D

From what I have seen on videos, the game uses the L button to grab. The R button is used to shield.
Anyways, that Smash 3DS XL looks really cool.
